We Are The Mighty: The CIA says Xi Jinping ordered the Chinese military to invade Taiwan within four years
When the latest delegation from the House of Representatives returned from Taiwan, they had one message for the rest of Congress: Taiwan needs weapons and training, now. The U.S., they believe, needs to speed up the number and power of armaments it promised to Taipei.
The United States currently has a backlog of $19 billion in undelivered weapons. The U.S. might have a little more time to deliver the weapons, but only a little. CIA director William Burns told CBS’ “Face the Nation” that Chinese President Xi Jinping has instructed the Chinese military to be ready to invade Taiwan in four years. And that’s not a full four years Taiwan has to prepare. Even after the weapons are delivered, the Taiwanese will still need to train with them.

Update: China increases military spending, CIA warns of invasion (News Nation)
WNU Editor: Quoting CIA Director Burns ....
.... “We do know, as has been made public, that President Xi has instructed the PLA, the Chinese military leadership, to be ready by 2027 to invade Taiwan, but that doesn’t mean that he’s decided to invade in 2027 or any other year as well,” Burns said.
Being able to invade Taiwan is one thing. A final decision to invade is another. But if I was Taiwan, I would definitely be preparing my defenses ASAP.

What a dumb plan. Unless you know something we don’t, like the breakup of the US, I don’t see this event taking place. Would be a sh.t show like no other.
Shrug. The CPC chooses to not allow brilliant military men anywhere near the levers of power. Instead they give bureaucrats like Winnie a shake-and-bake military education. So, if China was willing to put a Napoleon in power, Taiwan could be taken now. With people like Winnie in power, it would take an incredible power differential to take Taiwan (like US taking Grenada from Russia/Cuba).
Seriously, a Napoleon would do something like sneaking a crude nuke into Taipei and detonating it, then sending peacekeepers in to "rescue" Taiwan from "terrorists" while the rest of the world was busy cleaning its panties.
Like the gut said. Use the hot line to get some Chinese take out food.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seems like a blockade would be better. If they destroy Taiwan all the manufacturing capacity is destroyed; blockade until surrender makes better sense.
As if they will block a simple gate and a single door.
The international maintains free navigation to protect their own interest over the area and even chinese cannot stop the practice and yet you can easily suggest to block the whole taiwan????
