Reuters: Russia's Wagner chief warns of frontline collapse if forced to retreat from Bakhmut
(Reuters) - The founder of Russia's Wagner mercenary force said his troops now tightening their grip on the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut were being deprived of ammunition and if they were forced to retreat the entire front would collapse.
"If Wagner retreats from Bakhmut now, the whole front will collapse," Yevgeny Prigozhin said in a video published over the weekend. "The situation will not be sweet for all military formations protecting Russian interests."
Reuters could not independently verify when and where the video was recorded. The footage was published on a Telegram channel that has been disseminating Prigozhin news and has associated itself with the Wagner Group. The video was not published on Prigozhin's usual press service channel.
Prigozhin on Friday said that his units had "practically surrounded Bakhmut," where fighting has intensified in the past week with Russian forces attacking from nearly all sides. But on Sunday he complained that most of the ammunition that his forces were promised by Moscow in February had not yet been shipped.

As history itself has shown time and again, Mother Russia doesn't give a damn about "the people", who in its eyes are either fodder or, at best, useful idiots. Appears to be the case once again. Human lives are expendable, but the State must survive. This is probably the case with a lot of other governments as well, including the U.S., the difference being Mother Russia excels at it. As does China. Marx is just an excuse to hide behind.

Wait, wasn't I told be an earlier post that Wagner had defeated the Ukrainian military entirely by itself? Now we're being told the entire Russian front will collapse unless Wagner gets help?

There will be another coup in Mali to replace the current junta that is losing territory while working hand in hand with the Russians.
...and this is why mercenaries don't work out in the end, as any Renaissance Italian prince could tell you, just ask Machiavelli. They want to be paid, then they want to renegotiate that pay at inconvenient moments.
Easy prediction: Prigozhin will haver a slip and fall accident out a window or some similar unfortunate fate in 12 months.
Despite seeing that it was a 2 week old video that hasn't slowed down the righteous commenters from humiliating themselves yet again.
