Several More Attacks Against U.S. Bases In Syria Are Being Reported. President Biden Says US Forces Will Act Forcefully To Defend Americans

New York Times: Conflict in Syria Escalates Following Attack That Killed a U.S. Contractor

WASHINGTON — The conflict in northeast Syria escalated on Friday as Iran-backed militias launched a volley of rocket and drone attacks against coalition bases after American reprisals for a drone attack that killed a U.S. contractor and injured six other Americans.

President Biden, speaking at a news conference in Canada, sought to tamp down fears that tit-for-tat strikes between the United States and militant groups could spiral out of control, while at the same time warning Tehran to rein in its proxies.

“Make no mistake, the United States does not, does not, I emphasize, seek conflict with Iran,” Mr. Biden said in Ottawa, where he was making a state visit. “But be prepared for us to act forcefully to protect our people. That’s exactly what happened last night.”

The US has no business in Syria, except stealing Syrian oil, which we should not be doing.

Not sure why were there, they can handle ISIS. However, now we are on a lose-lose path. Iran will play the long game and we will get kicked out.

I believe I read in The Warzone in a comment that they have been 80 to 120 attacks on personnel in Syria, since 2021 and Biden responded to 3 of them and they commenter was quoting Mike Pompeo. Pompeo was saying what every sane person says. If you don't respond you. invite more attacks.

There must not be any JAG officers deployed to Syria and Biden must not have any more sons in the JAG corps, so he does not have to worry about family being attacked in Syria,

So, Biden does not have to care.

At least he won't care until his poll rating sink lower.

Why are we in Syria? Because of the Kurds and the Iraqis.

The US could let Iraq fall to ISIS or it could back them up. We chose to back them up. We had only just left in 2011 after the feckless Obama refused to negotiate a SOFA. If you kick ISIS out of Iraq, they can regroup in the Syrian side of the border and come back. So, you have to dig them out. The Syrians were not up to the task in 2014.

The Kurds were slowly losing to ISIS. ISIS had the backing of the Turkish government, their fighters were being treated in Turkish hospitals. Things came to ahead due to the reporting on the Kurd's stand in Kobane. Obama was shamed into acting.

The Kurds were not treated badly by Assad in comparison to the rest of the Middle East, but that does not mean they were treated equally. The oil is going to the Kurds. Prove otherwise.

Nice to see the Russian droll farms up and running at 5:45 and 7:58

WNU has a word filter on his blog. It must be a feature of blogspot. It has been a feature of many other commenting software packages for the last 2 decades.

So if you use the word tr*ll, you will see your comment post and then it will be deleted by a program.

Apparently we must never talk about tr*ll from, because they do not exist.

It is not like the Russian Americans or Chinese would ever, ever tr*ll.

Revealed: US spy operation that manipulates social media

Tr*lling by governments is real. But we must never, ever say tr*ll on WNU's site.

"There have been 78 such attacks since the beginning of 2021, according to Kurilla.

...

"So what Iran does to hide its hand is they use Iranian proxies -- that's under UAVs or rockets -- to be able to attack our forces in Iraq or Syria," Kurilla added."

Joe Biden is President Weaksauce.

What can be better than that?

My comment @ 8:54 AM would not post and stick until I changed troll from droll.

I have seen comment deletion on many sites based on a verbotten list of words. So my assumption is that the word is or was troll.

The Twitter leftist censors got fired. Have the ones at google been fired?
