Zero Hedge: White House Responds To Poland Sending Jets To Ukraine

The Biden administration has responded to Poland's Thursday announcement that it will be transferring about a dozen or more MiG-29 jets to Ukraine.

As we reported earlier, President Andrzej Duda's move was no doubt calculated in hopes of tilting the momentum of the political debate in Washington in favor of supplying planes.

National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said Thursday afternoon in response to Warsaw's decision, "It doesn’t change our calculus, with respect to F-16s."

More target practice for Russian pilots and air defence weapons

Since they haven't destroyed the small ukranian airforce in 12 months they sure could do with the practice.

It seems giving Ukraine the ability to strike into Russia will raise the stakes more. I do not know what is true, but if Ukraine is out of men and ammo, then just sue for peace already. If Russia is failing miserably and the loss of men, equipment and shortage of ammo and a Ukrainian counter attack is near, Then giving the Ukraine the ability to attack into Russia will absolutely bring a response from Moscow that no one wants, because NATO will respond and that is a rabbit hole.

It's striking how absent any mention or factor of "air superiority" is in this war. So far its been a ground slog. I honestly don't think a squadron of MiGs is going to make any difference one way or the other.

Seems like nato just wants to prolong everything...

Why dont militaries have champions and more...one on one combat

It might not make any difference to the war. Poland gets rid if its Migs & replaces them with US built fighters complete with spare parts, missiles & support & training. The US arms industry makes more cash. Keep ducking

Slovakia just announced giving 13 , though some will be used for spare parts, more to follow

@Russ

I totally agree. I'm dumbfounded how people react and think around all of this. My work is on a public spot, so i get to talk and listen a lot to people. People here still think Ukraine is winning.. like wow how the brainwashing and propaganda works really well. Nobody can fly anywhere near the front lines because of massive AA everywhere. Great now they got a few more migs to fly and volley rockets from way back. Better they get 1000 artillery for the same price.
