Widespread Protests In France After Macron Passes Pension Reforms

CNBC: Macron enrages France by forcing through pension bill with no vote. But few think he’ll be forced out

* Unions and lawmakers slammed French President Emmanuel Macron’s use of special constitutional powers to pass a controversial pension bill.

 * The government will face a no confidence vote next week.

 * Analysts said they expected the vote to fail, putting the bill into law.

 * But anger from opposition parties and the public will remain.

* Macron may emerge weakened despite passing changes he has pushed for since he was first elected in 2017.

A coalition of French lawmakers on Friday filed a no confidence motion against President Emmanuel Macron following chaotic scenes in the country’s lower house of parliament the day before.

Despite frantic last-minute negotiations and number-crunching, Macron calculated he did not have enough votes in the National Assembly to pass his controversial and long-standing plan to raise the retirement age.

at some point, simple math will determine these financial problems. calling math racist or ignoring the results of a mathematical problem won't change that. The French need to become more mature about these matters.

Pres. Biden says the republicans want to change our social security but doing nothing about it is the same as destroying it. We will face the same dilemma as France in about 10 years. will we be as childish as the French.

All that being said, these western cucks in power just throw the will of the people aside when they want, declare some special emergency and stomp on the constitutional processes. that is worse than an electorate that makes bad decisions.

Ron you're a racist. Math is white. Math is racist. The governments can tax somebody's income or create a wealth tax. Just ask AOC. She knows everything except what that thing under her kitchen sink that ground peels and waste. That flummoxed her.

Until such time as the gop folks realized dumping SS and Medicare would cost them at the ballot box, some who were up for elections did propose dumping and/or privatizing those two programs. Now they are much more careful in what they say but some in GOP did want to seriously cut those programs.
