Politico: Ukraine’s F-16 training could begin in July, Danish defense minister signals
After that, it will likely be ‘up to six months’ before Ukraine could fly its own jets, Troels Lund Poulsen says. Ukrainian pilots could start training on F-16 fighter jets in July, Denmark’s acting Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen indicated Tuesday.
“My expectation is that by the end of June, we’ll have it officially set up, so we can hopefully start after that,” Poulsen told reporters before a ministers’ meeting in Brussels. “And then, it’s probably an effort that will take up to six months before we have the facilities in place so that we can fly F-16 fighter jets from Ukraine,” the minister added.

There is then the question of .... where do you put these F-16s? And that is just the start.
Ukraine's air fields need to be upgraded to handle F-16s, but they are being targeted all the time. Who is going to maintain these aircraft? Who is going to provide missiles and ammo?
And then there are the rumors that these aircraft are going to be flying from bases in Poland, not Ukraine.
