BBC: Belgorod raid: Insurgents defeated after rare cross-border incursion - Russia
Armed insurgents who crossed the border from Ukraine to launch attacks in Russia's Belgorod region have been defeated, Moscow says.
Villages in the border region were evacuated after coming under sustained shellfire.
Russia says that 70 of the attackers have been killed and insists the fighters are Ukrainian.
But Kyiv has denied involvement and two Russian paramilitary groups have said they were behind the incursion.
Monday's raid appears to have been the largest cross-border incursion since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine 15 months ago.
It led Moscow to declare a counter-terrorism operation in Belgorod, giving the authorities there special powers to clamp down on communications and people's movements. The measures were lifted on Tuesday afternoon.

Imagine volunteering for this. One of the leaders was legitimately in a mental institution before this but I don't know about the other 69 guys.
This was the crew of the Battleship Potemkin. They needed something to do.
An psychiatrist said that often the people in the mental institution should not be there. It is the people that pushed their buttons that shpuld be in the institution.
Fazman belittle the idea that the Americans or brits ran this op.
Well, once again the Fazman rule wins again
From Zero hedge.
This was a nato/brit/ US operation.
Also study the photos. Those vehicles are almost brand new. The uniforms and kit are new and very clean. Not a conventional ukrainian unit.
Confirmed: Militants Used American Armored Vehicles To Attack Inside Russia
Pro russians should man up that blaming anybody else of this war is abnormality.

Zero Hedge is an anonymous site. And it has something of a paywall. Since you cite their pics, why not give us either the pics or the URL for that story.

Btw. Those dead hummers are all tracible. They fall under FMs law. Unless they are black ops purchase.
So they used kit from Ukraine lol, and that makes it a US Brit op
..try harder ffs
The word military aid look it in the dictionary
no Fazzy that stuff was brand new. doubt very seriously the ukies gave them anything. If that equipment was from the ukies they probably would of got second hand crap cover with blood stains from bakhmut.
faze do you know anything about US forgiven military sales law? no. Are you a five eyes asset.? you defend the black ops guys to no end
If you dare to challenge fazboy's ridiculous statements the best reply you can hope for is a lol straight back in your face or perhaps an accusation of being a Russian troll. Hopefully he'll wise up as he matures and learns to stfu.
I wonder if the possibility exists that these are from the captured from the battlefields of Ukraine and were put there by the Russians to discredit the rebellion. With the added benefit of making western suppliers question where their equipment is going
That's actually a pretty good point. Only need a few burned out carcasses stashed away in a warehouse somewhere to bust out for propaganda purposes.
Russia also capture a number of Humvees in Georgia and I think we gave Belarus some too.
