Perhaps the first carrier to deploy with one. They started bringing therapy dogs to the USS George Washington (CVN 73) while it was in the yard undergoing the mid-life upgrade after bad working conditions contributed to several suicides. This article explains many of the problems in detail.

During GWOT the military veterinarians were actively setting traps and killing dogs and cats.
In my opinion This was and is a mistake. If the dog or cat has a disease they could pass it on to a solider. This is true.
If the vet inoculates a dog or cat and cures them of diseases they get to practice their trade, which is bonus to them professionally and to the military. They have seen more diseases and treated them. Thus, they are sharper. The soldiers get a companion that helps with stress, which might lead to fewer suicides. Plus dogs patrol for you in camp or out of camp.
One soldier was upset because a dog barked at here and followed her, while jogging. The dog was 'protecting' its pack. A solution other than demanding a vet put the dog down, is for a solider that the dog was protecting to introduce the dog to the jogger and the jogger to give the jogger treats. The dog then adopts the jogger as part of the pack. The jogger having regular running times is expected and not a threat.
I had a dog that put a burglar in a hospital. It was a jet black Belgian shepherd. It actually belonged to the land owner, who we rented from. It was looked and acted mean. the owner's son took the dog introduced me to the dog and told me to bribe the dog with an orange. the dog did not like tangerines. In 5 minutes that dog was mine. Upkeep was peeling an orange, if the dog sat down beside an orange tree.
The Navy needs to build some apartments at the shipyard. Barracks would not be good. the fumes get to you when they paint. the sandblasting before that is noisy. You are probably breathing in microparticles too. Industrial Hygeinest had better do their damn job. they have had them before for a carrier. If there is not one for a carrier, they need one for the shipyard.
Other than the painting there is all the cutting and welding. There would be metallic fumes. I would not know the ppm for that and how far it would extend. So there is a need for apartments. four to a room. for really junior people they could go perhaps 6 to 8 and it would still be better than ships berthing.
I don’t think you are even human Fazman. The US bullies more countries than anyone else through banking and sanctions. Look at what we did and tried to do with Syria 🇸🇾. Libya? NATO street gang bubs, that’s all we are in the end.

The Russians have lost 295 pieces of Air defense.
So it will be a real test. It may not be similar to the opening 2 or 3 days of Warsaw versus NATO engagement.
