Russia's Wagner Boss Says He Will Withdraw His Troops From The Ukrainian City Of Bakhmut On 10 May Due To Ammo Shortages

BBC: Yevgeny Prigozhin: Wagner Group boss says he will pull fighters out of Bakhmut

The leader of Russia's Wagner mercenary group says he will withdraw his troops from the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut on 10 May because of ammunition shortages.

Yevgeny Prigozhin's statement came after he posted a video of him walking among his dead fighters' bodies, blaming top Russian defence officials.

"Tens of thousands" had been killed and injured there, Prigozhin said. Russia has been trying to capture the eastern city for months, despite its questionable strategic value. Wagner troops have been heavily involved.

WNU Editor: Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin is in no position to order the withdrawal of his forces from Bakhmut. He has no authority to make military/operational decisions. But he is the face of the Wagner Group, and he is receiving a lot of support from the Russian public over his frustration that the war is taking too long.

Update: The Duran's analysis is spot on (see below).

I'm glad that the bloodshed seems over for now, but boy, this guy... If I were Putin, I'd call him back for a nice long talk

Well with a 7:1 body count in Bakmut, that’s western intelligence BTW, are you suggesting that they don’t know how to fight?

7 to 1 🤣🤣, so ukraine lost 100k in bhakmut..

fazman said...

Correct, how the Russian bot has once again been proven wrong lol

After a year of fighting, yes. Like I said, that figure came from the intel leak by the US. It is estimated that the Ukrainian deaths are north of 300,000, and this is coming from Ukrainian generals.

Anonymous said...

And who’s telling you how many Russians are being killed? How accurate can that figure possibly be.?

Good I hope they join Ukraine/USA just to fuck up WNU

Editor, your words.

" is in no position to order the withdrawal of his forces from Bakhmut. He has no authority to make military/operational decisions. "

I will say this concerning the above statement.

This is a PMC outfit "working for" not "Serving with". the Russian army.

Do not know about Russian law, but in US law, it all depends what their contract reads.

In the US, if the contract says that the company can cease operations due to certain conditions, then it can.

Do you have access to the Wagner contract? It would be an interesting read.

Putin will arrest the leader of Wagner, golden strategy, Putin will show Ukraine his deadly force, a front and above through the air, overwhelming attack coming from the hand of the armed forces

Putin is going to have the leader of the Wagner Group arrested for attacking Ukraine with such overwhelming force that they are going to feel complete defeat in their skin, that's why he has his finger on the warhead button and missiles
