Daily Beast: Ukrainian Spy Boss Bluntly Admits Plan to Assassinate Putin
The second in command of Ukrainian military intelligence says Kyiv’s spies are actively trying to kill Vladimir Putin—and the Russian leader is well aware of it.
Vadym Skibitsky, the deputy head of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate, made the admission in an interview with German publication Welt.
“Putin is noticing that we are getting closer and closer to him, but he is also afraid of being killed by his own people,” Skibitsky was quoted as saying, describing the assassination of Putin as a top priority.
“Many people in Russia still support this ‘special operation’ [against Ukraine], but thanks to social media and phone checks, we know that so many Russians have died now that it scares people,” he said.
He said similar plans were in the works for Wagner Group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin, whose mercenaries have been accused of grisly war crimes against Ukrainian troops.

Alongside that this smells a bit off, it's not smart to do. Putin will be seen as a martyr, the media will spread the propaganda, the people will believe. The hatred will spread and manifest in other forms. Best is to destroy the propaganda, figuratively speaking. Until people can think freely again and hear the truth, we will run in circles forever, pit against one another by the same demons who have pit humans against one another for decades , and arguably longer

Got a source for that? He was allowed to walk around openly on the streets and no govt buildings were ever targeted until the Kerch bridge attack where the intel directorate was hit while empty. Revisionist history.

Correct. There's plenty of sources but of course, asshats like 3:35 will deny deny deny. It's an open secret that Russia had plans at the onset of invasion to take out Zelensky. None of that matters to the likes of 3:35; much the same way that the WNU author here continues to ignore the unjust crackdowns and subjugation of freedoms in Russia, but will go out his way to highlight the suppression of the Russian language in Ukraine at every turn.
