 Pentagon plans massive upgrade of strategic island’s missile defenses but it may be too little, too late against China’s ‘Guam killer’ missiles Guam’s missile defenses are slated for a massive upgrade, hardening US military facilities housed on the strategic Pacific island against potential Chinese and North Korean attacks. 

The Pentagon is taking the initial steps to provide Guam with a persistent missile defense system that gives 360-degree coverage against Chinese and North Korean missile threats, USNI News reported.

WNU Editor: To me it is a given that in the event of a shooting war, Guam, because of its strategic importance to the US military in the Pacific, will be a primary target. I guess the Pentagon just figured it out.
