WNU Editor: I had to laugh when I saw the above map. WNU is banned from posting on Facebook. But according to the above post the US and Canada (where I live) there are no internet restrictions.

Same in Sweden. This map is about accurate as all the other maps, from corruption to crime.
This is nothing new. Ever since the written word appeared someone has tried to ban it. The struggle is neverending since there will always be someone bothered by someone else. Governments have far more resources today but its also a lot harder to keep track. So the battle ebbs and flows sometime in one direction sometime in another.
As pointed out above, this censorship and banning has a very long history.
While we lament censoring the Net in this or that country, look at the banning of books now taking place in our school systems in Florida etc.
You have to ask: who is banning what, why, how, where. Is it based on race, sexuality, political perspective, history etc?
There’s a push in Canada to have Fox News banned. And I read yesterday on RT that a refugee village is being built in Russia for conservatives who want to flee the west. Not that bad yet but give Biden and Trudeau a few more years it just might be something to really think about

I was banned on Twitter in summer of 2020 during the Antifa/BLM riots and Hunter Biden laptop scandal for "misinformation". I've requested my account be reinstated 3 times since Musk took over and I am still banned. I can't even start up a new account. There is little freedom of expression in the USA on the internet unless you are a favored black-skinned person or progressive white.
