Will Flying F-16s Over Ukraine Be A Suicide Mission?

Business Insider: Flying the F-16 in Ukraine is 'high risk,' and Kyiv's air forces can't just fly the fighter jet headlong into Russia's defenses

* Momentum is building for Ukraine to receive the F-16s it has long sought.

* If Kyiv's air forces get the jet as expected, they won't be able to fly them directly at Russian defenses.

* Airpower experts, including former pilots, say Ukraine will have to get creative.

Ukraine is a lot closer to getting US-made F-16s, but once it finally gets its hands on them, Kyiv's air force likely isn't going to be flying them into Russian-held territory or dogfighting with Russian fighters right out of the gate — at least not if it wants to keep them.

The jet can't risk going head-to-head against the Russian military's more modern systems, like its air superiority fighters and the formidable S-400 air defense system, not without weakening them first. "And nobody's advocating for that," an air power expert told Insider. "That's nuts."

I hope the idiots fly those things out of a NATO airbase. Don’t put it past the mentally deranged, woke west to do something like that.

WNU and his buds riding shotgun are afraid that the F-16s will have air to air missiles and will shoot down Russian air planes over the Occupied Territories or Belgorod. So Russians will have to take the losses, trade plane for plane or sit farther back to lob the few glide bombs they have.

The farther away, the more time they have to target the glide bombs.

The farther away the less accurate the weapons are.

We are told Russia has a thousand plus war planes. The Russian should be able to trade one for one and win. After that a cake walk to take over Ukraine. Instead all I hear is a lot of porcine squealing.

So much squealing that I swear, the movie "Deliverance" must be playing on the TV.

You'd think that ukraine wasn't flying SU 25, Migs over ukraine lol. Stupid pessimistic article , they can engage cruise missiles , and Russian migs from double the current distance. Wnu and A have watched too much top gun Maverik whilst rooting for the Iranians

Manned aircraft are going the way of the dinosaur. I'm surprised they are still being used, when drones are cheaper and more effective.

Do not tell me you want a more powerful fighter plane like f18 f22 f35. Are you trying to say you want to pulvurized Russia?

“[USVI Governor] John and I have put money into the campaign based on what we thought was going to happen with the tuition payments.”

You're an idiot. Why would WNU be afraid. You sound like a carnival barker, He is not going to fly those things and he has no control of who gets them or not or how they are employed.

F16 vs SU or Mig? we will see. The question is will we ever be repaid for all this shit.

Just be happy you are not the one doing the BETA test.

You cheerleaders said something to that tune about all those western wonder tanks. Turns out they burn like the rest. So so sad. Score another one for 🇷🇺

You're Russian. You are not paying for all this shit. So quit screaming like baby or a lunatic Democrat.

If F-16s come out ahead versus the SU's in a match up, say good bye to export rubles. You will be down to selling only oil.

The BETA test you were referring to was when Belarus released a joint development catalogue of KATA pro B 1.2 Devoska developed projects joint with Ultra Dopomdasa Bitrog.

So it seems Fazboy the expert in everything has been promoted from tank command and now resides in the control tower. Brave boy.

These guys have no idea how this is going to turn out. They like to blather. It all depends what variation of bird they will get with what typee or weapons package. Then of course are they going to receive anytyopre of targeting supports such a s awacs?

These are all unknowns.

And for super genius talking about export of arms, he is right , but what he does not mention is that if the F 16 variant in Ukie land comes out last in this contest, US exports will then be hurt. It works both ways, Gumball brain

We will see,.

you realize the people disparaging fazman could be paid, professional trolls. They are not going to listen to you.

Or they could just be totally bent people, who love to troll. Either way they are not listening to you.
