Latest Update On The Russia - Ukraine War (Video)

WNU Editor: Reuters has been given limited access by Ukraine to the front-lines. Their analysis is one of concern .... How is Ukraine’s counter-offensive going so far? (Reuters). The Economist is saying the same thing .... Ukraine’s counter-offensive is making mixed progress (The Economist).

As to what is my take.

According to many reports Ukraine is now putting in their reserves for this offensive. Russian drone, artillery, and helicopter gunships are blunting most of the attacks. There has definitely been no breakthrough to the main Russian defense lines. There are concerns that Ukraine can only sustain this offensive for another 2 -3 weeks. Casualty numbers for both sides are very high.

In the military,

Normally, in any battle situation....when you commit your reserves, you are committing to your present course of action

If things are going well.????

In a battle going you away.....you only commit reserves if you have a golden opportunity to turn the tide, or you see a new opportunity to advance.

We were always told that Reserves should be committed to re-enforce success, not failure.

What to do In a bad situation???

You commit only when absolutely necessary if the situation is dire.

Either way, Once you commit your reserves , You are then left with few options, you become chained to your current plan/operation.

If the Ukies really are committing thier reserves This is not a good thing.

Why?
That will mean they are committed to what they have been doing in the last 2 weeks....... and because according to the last report, the Ukies have not even broken thru the 1st Obstacle belt of fortifications.

May be there is something we are not seeing here?

Time will tell.
