One Third Of "Gen Z" Americans Support The Idea Of The Government Placing Surveillance Cameras In Every Home

The Blaze: Nearly a third of Gen Z Americans say government should put cameras in every home to prevent crime and abuse

A new poll found a surprising percentage of Gen Z Americans supporting the idea of the government placing cameras in every home in order to prevent crime and abuse.

The finding was a part of a poll of 2,000 Americans by the Cato Institute. The poll asked whether Americans supported "the government installing surveillance cameras in every household to reduce domestic violence, abuse, and other illegal activity.”

Overall, very few Americans supported the idea, about 14 percent, or one out of every seven respondents. A large majority, 75%, opposed the idea, and only 10% said they weren't sure. But among those aged below 30 years, 29% said they supported the idea, almost a third of respondents in that age group.

The poll asked whether Americans supported "the government installing surveillance cameras in every household to reduce domestic violence, abuse, and other illegal activity.”

Update: Nearly one in three Gen Zers want the government to install surveillance cameras in everyone's homes (American Thinker)

WNU Editor: I do not think I have to remind anyone that some of these Gen Z Americans are probably going to be our future leaders.

The CATO survey is here .... Nearly a Third of Gen Z Favors the Government Installing Surveillance Cameras in Homes (CATO).

two right ring sources report this but one third even if accurate is far from a mandate.

and a majority of Americans support better firearms controls and abortion rights but that has changed nothing

The reason you find support is that most youth have never seen the negative consequences of surveillance. They would change their minds quickly if trully invasive surveillance impacted them in a negative way. 'you are fined 1000$ for not placing the spoon in the correct position on the table in accordance with section 5 of the personal home rulebook.' They forget that once surveillance becomes the norm ever increasing control becomes the norm with absurdly petty rules in place. They have been indoctrinated to fear abusers to levels far higher than their actual presence in society. Stranger danger and all that came after have been a catastrophe.

The thing is once these idiots realize the consequences, it’ll already be too late. These Gen Z’ers also love to assert control over other peoples lives. Just reference Antifa, BLM and the infamous 2SLGTBQI+++XYZ community. The US has no future in what the world is evolving into. It will become the Cuba of the new world.

How can we become Cuba if we do not have old VWs to keep repairing?

If those who want and favor them get them, is it ok to reject them if we decide we can do without them? China keeps tabs on its citizens without the need for an Alexa what is he doing divice.
