Ukraine Used British Storm Missiles To Strike Key Bridge To Crimea

The Guardian: Russia accuses Ukraine of using UK-supplied missiles to strike bridge to Crimea

Chonhar Bridge is one of a handful of infrastructures linking Crimea with the mainland Russian-backed officials in southern Ukraine have accused Kyiv of using British-supplied long-range missiles to strike a bridge connecting Kherson province with the Crimean peninsula.

The strike on the Chonhar Bridge, one of the few links between mainland Ukraine and Crimea, came two days after Moscow threatened to attack Kyiv’s “decision-making centres” if western-supplied missiles were used against Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014.

A series of photos and videos circulating on Telegram on Thursday showed a large crater on the bridge, with debris littering the roads. There were no casualties reported.

As much I would love to see Russia bomb the snot out of the uke puppet decision making nodes, you have to admit that Russia has made a lot of friends and business relationships by not escalating this conflict. Putin is smarter than many are giving credit for.

Let Russia escalate all the way to nuclear war. How many times has arselicker Medvedev and others threatened it.

They are threatening it, because they cannot do anything about it.
for the time being the Ukrainians are giving up on the more massive Kerch Straight Bridge and going after the smaller Crimean bridges. One lane of two lanes of the of the Chonhar Bridge was taken out. So the bridge is still usable but with a question mark. Would you want to take a tank across it?

It will get hi again and it will be finished. They will move onto the rail bridge now.

When the Russians I mean the orcs, retreat out of Kherson and Western Zaporizhzhia, they will have to do it without their equipment.

It is okay, because China escalated the conflict. They are supplying tanks to Russia now. We were told Russia was serious about ramping up its industrial base. What does that mean? the oligarchs have to defer getting a superyacht for a year?

the Crimean bridges are closer to the FOB than the Kerch Bridge. They are easier to take down, easier to hit due to distance and less distance to pass through air defenses. They will be hit. All of them.

Then the rail line through Zaporizhzhia from Donbas will be overloaded and a juicy target.
Think Falaise Pocket. Think highway of Death.

Think Weimar Russia.

You know the Russians are full of shit, when they can hot your infrastructure, but they cry and threaten when you hit their infrastructure. Good thing WNU has a shoulder to cry on.

Medvedev is such a yes man and kicks so much arse he might as well be gay. It is wonder why Medevedev and Putin are not both in prison for being gay.

In order to illustrate the impact of the (de facto) destruction of the Chonhar bridge we see the original path of a supply truck coming from the Dzhankoi to Melitopol in red and the remaining two alternatives in blue and yellow going through Armiansk. The supply lines have been almost doubled and they lead now through less useful roads then the main artery before.

Double the time or half the supply in the same time equals to strategic degradation, not mentioning Ukrainian partisans having now their chances doubled to interfere.

Russia is dying.

I really wanted to take a trip by train from London to Paris to Berlin to Warsaw to Moscow to Beijing.

I stated as much 6 or 7 years ago on this blog.

It ain't going to happen now. It is no different than I am not going to be able to see the 500 year old Mostar Bridge. It is just gone.

Traveling with the Head Chink in Charge might provide some protection in Moscow, but it might not. Russia being Russia and all.

You idiots above bleating the ukie propaganda are just spewing more trash.

The ukies can blow all the bridges to Crimea and the Russians will not stop. Why well first of all Russia is not ukie land with limited resources. They have ships and Aircraft, lot of aircraft and a lot of ships that means resupply.

The bridges would eventually be rebuilt.

I hope the ukies do try to cut the Crimea off. Why ? So the Russians will be forced to get off their collective asses and do something, maybe MOAB-ing the ukies. Or doing a carpet bombing of Kiev with thermobaric weapons, you know like Tokyo or Dresden.

then you can cry about how unfair it is and war crimes.

Yes ofcourse, this is why putin and his henchmen are so scared of losing these vital supply links , they have no value lol

"They have ships and Aircraft, lot of aircraft and a lot of ships that means resupply."

The Luftwaffe could not resupply Stalingrad.

when more and more ships start docking at various ports, they will be hit.

Every transaction in a supply chain takes time.

ship to port
load ship
transit
unload ship
truck supplies

Lots of chances to hit ships, trucks and ports.

You are all correct. But

This is not Stalingrad. It is not 1000 miles from the counties border. Yes it takes more time. But this is an emergency measure, Right? It won't last for ever either way.

And last, but not least, ole fazzy himself....

Of course they are worried fazy, old bean, and I did not say the links had no value...thank you very much.

But just because the bridges are all cut. Do you think the rusks will give-up the Crimea?

no , aint happening.
And...if it came to that , I think the russians would be forced to end this mess. And probably not in a way you would prefer.

Not a lot of ukies volunteering for the military anymore. But then again I am talking to the "let's use kids crowd". can you say Sieg Heil? That's what they did in Berlin in 45

It is happening, Buttercup.

The russian railway construction workers and repair teams from what I understand are very competent.

It does not seem to be that way with the rest of the country.

Ok G5...

we will see....
But do you have any knowledge of history? Why will the Russians not let this area go?

Has Hanover approved your leave yet?
