Former President Trump Target For January 6 Committee. Could Face Imminent 'Arrest And Indictment'

Politico: Trump says he’s received a target letter from special counsel Jack Smith’s Jan. 6 investigators

It’s the clearest sign yet that Trump may soon face his third criminal indictment — this time for his effort to subvert the 2020 election results.

Donald Trump said Tuesday he expects to be indicted by special counsel Jack Smith’s Jan. 6 grand jury, citing a “target letter” he received from investigators on Sunday.

Such a letter “almost always means an arrest and indictment,” Trump, who has already been criminally indicted twice in recent months, wrote on Truth Social. Read more ....

WNU Editor: These charges are serious. If convicted former President Trump could not only be barred from running, but should he win the Presidential election, he could be barred from assuming office.

a target letter really means You are going to be indicted but we send this to you to let you know you can give your side of the situation to the grand jury if you wish.

Trump's position: If he wins, or if the GOP wins the presidency with another candidate, Trump and others can be pardoned. Thus he hopes to postpone trials of any kind till the election takes place.
The pressure is now also on the GOP leadership to decide how to deal with this issue. Nominate Trump? Go for another candidate as safer bet? Do nothing and see how things work out?

What a disgrace! Trump is far to be a saint, but what about Biden who give "information's" to China? But Biden is still not on top of MSN. Are we still in democracy?

An indictment, a grand jury, a trial is one thing. What about Biden this is blah blah blah till evidence and a grand jury convened.

Oh yes Joe Biden had documents in his garage. Which as a sitting vice president should not have no access to. Let alone the drugs that supposedly the white house has no clue where they came from. Lies on lies on lies. So this leaves me to believe how weaponized is the FBI and CIA for the Democratic party. Hmmm.... You're going to charge one person why not the secretary of state and vice president who should not have access to those documents. Tit for Tat.

There will be many more besides Trump that will face indictments. Why is it the agencies are "weaponized" when your people get caught but they are just fine when those in the other party get in trouble?
Barr was just fine till Barr was no longer ok

"My people" Whose my people 7:10? Calling it how I see it.

"your people" is generic used to suggest those who approve of agencies when those agencies agree with you and your side; when they are not your people, they are agencies that are the source of your annoyance over what they are doing that seems to potentially harm your cause, ie the cause you believe in.

10:21 I don't have a side. I have never voted for any side to be honest. So if Trump gets arrested for having documents than that would be the same for Hillary which was secretary of state and Joe Biden as Vice president if your going to do one than its all fair game for every other person past or future.
