Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to reporters Thursday on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg. He took the opportunity to once again highlight that Ukraine's counteroffensive has failed, and that in the process Kiev has suffered huge losses, both in manpower and foreign-supplied equipment.

by infantry. This is what happens when area you are attacking has not had a thorough recon. It is also what happens when attacking a defence when you do not run under the heels of an artillery barrage.
if they were going to do this attacks like this. Then infantry should have led the attack supported by tanks from the rear.
