Ukraine Commanders Say Their Counteroffensive Is Going Slow Because 'Our Problem Everywhere Is The Sky'

Wall Street Journal: Ukraine Adopts Slow Approach to Counteroffensive

ORIKHIV, Ukraine—Six weeks into Ukraine’s counteroffensive, Capt. Anatoliy Kharchenko and his reconnaissance company were supposed to be wreaking havoc miles behind Russian defensive lines pierced by Western-supplied armored vehicles.

Instead, after many of the vehicles got bogged down in minefields, Kharchenko and his men are training how to advance methodically on foot, moving from one line of trees to another, faced with the prospect of taking back their country one field at a time.

“We’ve got nothing to lose,” Kharchenko said. “Victory isn’t just important, but it’s the only option, otherwise we’ll all be dead.”

Ukraine’s counteroffensive, launched at the start of June, is aimed at retaking some of the nearly 20% of Ukrainian territory occupied by Moscow. The West provided dozens of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles and trained thousands of Ukrainian troops for the campaign.

The swift loss of several tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, many of them immobilized by mines or missiles launched from attack helicopters, jolted Ukraine and its Western backers. Ukraine hasn’t achieved a decisive breakthrough, although it has seized several villages.

WNU Editor: Another Western news media outfit admitting that Ukraine's counteroffensive is falling short and that Ukraine army commanders are disappointed in the West's lack of support in not providing jet fighters and air defense systems.

One more note. In the past two weeks I have noticed that the Western press has stopped reporting the sobering fact that since the start of the counteroffensive in June, the Ukraine army has yet been able to even reach the first main Russian line of defenses.

Here’s a crazy idea, why not negotiate and ditch the west that caused so much destruction. Ukraine would be so much better off joining BRICS and watch the west burn itself to a cinder with woke ideologies and diversity, equality, and inclusion. Fucking losers

Yep the western press fall back story is that the ukies have been successfull because they took a few villages and as amount of square miles. Note the msm never mentions the fact that all these "victories" are still out side or only a small part of the security zone. No defensive line has been breached. As a matter of fact, I don't think any part of the 1st defensive line has even been reached.

So much for Nato and U S game changing. Tactics, weapons and training.

The US has never been good at training Foriegn armies. Here it is shown again.

Russians have never been good at training Russians, shown here again. Such difficulty in advancing in Ukraine, let alone a peer army

The article is crap. here is part of what it said

Russia remains vulnerable because its troops are generally less well prepared and supplied by a weak logistics chain that depends heavily on railways. With Ukraine pushing in several places, Russia doesn’t know where to deploy its reserves and may struggle to react quickly if Ukrainian forces do break through.

Then it goes on to say that the Ukrainians are forced to strip vehicles for parts and make their own drones form old electronic parts.

So who is suffering from weak logistics?

And by the way faz, if the Russians are so poorly trained, why are the ukies not drinking beer on the beach in the Crimea?

Face it Faz, the Ukies are not going anywhere. If you listened to the latest war report, the casualty rates are out of control, the press gang enlistment systems are on overdrive and the offensive is a total loss. They have not used their reserve forces yet, because they cannot figure out any way to effectively use them.

Why?

Because those incompetent Russians of yours have built a great effective defense and the ukies for all their wonderous NATO weapons and training cannot break through it.

How is that possible Faz when the Russians are so broke, have no tanks and are all cowards?

ONCE AGAIN: The Fazman Rule wins

If the Russians are so formidable why are they not drinking in Kiev?

You dont get it do you fazzy. It is because the ukies and the russians are both incompetent.
This war is not about ukie freedom or democracy. This war is about using developing the ukies into being a useful tool to hurt the russians.

This war exists because of the United States and its neocon ideologues who have controlled foreign policy since the 1990s.

This war is about revenge. Revenge against the Russians for throwing off the yoke of the Yeltsin years and daring to defy the lbgtq progressive new world order.

As far as fighting ability, that does not matter as long as they are killing each other.

Maybe there’s more to large scale modern warfare than you and many others think. You ever sit down and think how they could have done this better with all things considered? Idiot

It's possible there is a Russian intelligence organization quietly taking notes on this Fazman character. Far reaching tentacles they have.
