Statements made by National Security Council spokesman John Kirby on the Sunday news shows have been seized upon by the Kremlin as a clear demonstration the US has 'confessed to war crimes'.
Kirby in a fresh interview with ABC was defending President Biden's approving cluster bombs for Ukraine, which are banned by over 120 countries internationally for being 'indiscriminate' and thus more likely to result in civilian deaths. Kirby at one point told ABC that "we can all agree that more civilians have been and will continue to be killed by Russian forces… than will likely be hurt by the use of these cluster munitions."

By his calculations, though, it's "likely" a net decrease in ukrainian civilian casualties.
Using cluster munitions is not a war crime , using them intentionally against civillians or yroopes imbeded amongst civilluans potentially is.
These are not Vietnam era munitions dropped from bombe but delivered from artillery etc with far more accuracy and with a very low dud rate.
Russia is using them , Russia is using old gen munitions with a 30% failure rate during an invasion .
Using clusters in defence of your borders , within your borders to save and liberate ukraine is different.
Obviously ukraine will.map and keep records of the areas saturated for clean up after hostilities end. They will be used to facilitate a break through of the Russian defensive lines on Ukranian territory , and any unexploded ordinance will be in company with the tens of thousands of Russian Anti personnel and anti armour mines.
Such bullshit hysteria , the hypocrisy of those condemning it ..wow.

It is possible some Americans died there. From the pictures of the building it did not seem all that big. They mentioned a few of the victims. Subtract that number from the capacity of the joint, you might be able tog et somewhere. Were there American soldiers there? don't know. The DoD certainly could hide the deaths of 7 or so.
The deaths of hundreds of officers in an underground book form a while back? That did not seem t have happened like Russia claimed. If it did happen you would see ripples. I am not in and so would not see the backfill.
