France Accuses U.S. Of Betrayal Over Niger

Daily Telegraph (New Zealand): France furious with US over Niger – Le Figaro

Washington has chosen its own interests over its allies, a French diplomat has told the newspaper, following Victoria Nuland’s visit to Niger.

The presence of the ‘Maidan midwife,’ US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, in post-coup Niger has enraged Washington’s NATO ally, France, Le Figaro reported over the weekend, citing a source within the French Foreign Ministry.

The US “did the exact opposite of what we thought they would do,” a French diplomatic source told the paper, adding that “with allies like these, we do not need enemies.”

Paris has been insisting on the reinstatement of ousted President Mohamed Bazoum ever since a new military government came to power in Niger in a coup in late July.

Going to have to find another poor country to rip off and take advantage of.

It is simple. Spend enough on men and equipment and keep them there long enough. Macron cannot do it. He is a socialist who inherited a socialist welfare state. The welfare state takes up so much money he cannot afford a military.

The socialist welfare state keeps France from growing the economic pie or providing job opportunities.

Macron will never understand the problem or admit it.

So Macron helped Joe Biden out. Macron pretended in front of the whole world that Joe Biden was a normal, mentally healthy person.

Macron helps 'lost and vague' Biden 'face in the right direction'

And now Macron has been paid back, one socialist to another. Macron has been shafted by Joe. I hope it was as good for Macron as it was for Joe. Joe has been smiling a lot lately.

At least Macon does not have to put up with mean tweets!

Macron hated Trump and got the wise and worldly Biden

And no mean tweets.

dp you think America should put France's interests above America's? if so, say so and stop badmouthing the winner of the election against the many-times indicted former president.

A village lost its idiot again. Who said or proved that France's and the US's interests diverged in relation to Niger?

Maybe what diverged was the interests of France as a country and the clique in Washington, while the interests of France and the US are the same here?

Badmouthing? Can you not come up with a synonym for badmouthing. change things up a little. Show that your 16+ years of education were about learning achievement and not popularity.

I read the Daily Telegraph piece. It is all about easy street for the Washingtonians. They could care less about America's or France's interest.

If we used Nuland's and the Deep State's logic in Ukraine, we would have been telling Russia go ahead and conquer Ukraine, but be quick about it, because we value stability over constitutionality.

Leftist hacks at the Guardian alleged that France has sweet trade deals. You can always allege. Show the numbers.

Then the leftist hacks complain that Niger became independent in 1958/1960 and have an airbase in Niger.

That air base was important when France assisted Chad in getting the Azou strip back from Libya. Sure France derives benefits from the airbase, but so do African countries.

And to think France won the English civil war in North America in 1776 for the rebels. If it wasn't for the French, there'd have been no United States. Grateful yanks....!!!!! 🤭

Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, attempted to defend her boyfriend’s dad on Tuesday after his latest criminal indictment, but, boy, did it backfire badly.

The conservative media personality appeared on Newsmax to discuss the charges against Donald Trump that were unveiled Monday in Georgia, which allege that he tried to push election officials there to overturn his narrow loss to Democrat Joe Biden in 2020.

However, Guilfoyle’s defense didn’t work out as intended, partly because she cited John Gotti in a way that made the infamous mobster seem superior to the former Republican president.

When judges are confronted with facts like a county has more votes than voters and rules there is nothing to see here, you can't prove reality in a court of law.

The school of thought called "legal positivism" is that law does not have to comport to science/reality.

Guilfoyle has a law degree. The village idiot does not. It is not necessary to have legal degree to give serious consideration, but one does have to have a healthy mind.

Also, Alan Dershowitz thinks you are wrong. He is a very highly regarded law professor.

He got the brains. You got short shrifted.

Dershowitz feeling a bit more free to break from the blob narrative now that his buddy Jeff is dead, huh?

I didn't see the words "Donald Trump" in the headline of this article.
