Kyiv Furious By NATO Official's Suggestion That It 'Give Up Territory' To Russia To Get NATO Membership

The Guardian: Nato official apologises over suggestion Ukraine could give up land for membership

Secretary general’s chief of staff says statement was ‘mistake’ and part of wider discussion – but does not completely rule out idea

A senior Nato official has apologised and clarified his comments a day after he said publicly that Ukraine could give up territory to Russia in exchange for Nato membership and an end to the war.

Stian Jenssen, the chief of staff to the Nato secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg, told a Norwegian newspaper that he should not have spoken as simplistically as he did, after his initial comments prompted an angry reaction from Kyiv.

At a panel event in Norway on Tuesday, Jenssen had said that while any peace deal reached would have to be acceptable to Ukraine, alliance members were discussing how the 18-month war might be brought to an end.

It is not Ukraines position to vehemently protest, or blatantly reject this ultimate course of action. Kievs longevity and existential interest would be to negotiate at this point. The US alone is sustaining this conflict, along with the meat bags Kiev is throwing at the various fronts against Russia. Ukraines inclusion into NATO would have prevented 2014 and 2022, and by ceding when it still can, it would allow them to exist and perhaps later reconsolidate into something more substantial. NATO is an archaic Soviet era arrangement that cannot sustain itself without the United States and is completely propped up by the US alone. Basically non of NATOs party members, aside from Estonia or whatever, cant/wont contribute the most basic monetary requirements for membership into that bullshit collective alliance for many decades now. The US is at $34T national debt with over $100T unfunded liabilities so these shithead NATO/EU countries can sacrifice their "free education and healthcare" for what used to be one of the most expensive national expenditures in running an actual country not leeching off a greater power like the US. 2% was the minimum you parasitic scumbags and you fucked that up in favor of utopian pipe dreams. You had decades and now the retarded bear is looking to maul you.

Once the 3rd Ukrainian army is bled white, the Russians will probably mount a big offensive. Then it will be an unconditional surrender by what is left of the Ukrainian army.

Not so sure the Ukraine has much room to criticize here. By this point they owe their very existence Europe and the U.S

With encouragement of Nato, but especially the United States, the Ukrainians have painted themselves into a corner.

A Great people, being led by a bunch of blood sucking psychopaths.

Ukraine should take the suggestion now and stop sacrificing its young men in a war it cannot win. But of course the Nazis running Ukraine do not care about their young men dying, they are there to enrich themselves, like their benefactor the US Biden administration. Corruption is the plague of the world's leadership.
