At least 96 people reported dead after wildfires tore through Maui President Biden was sharply criticized on Sunday after telling reporters during a Delaware beach getaway that he had "no comment" on the rising death toll in Hawaii from severe wildfires.
"After a couple hours on the Rehoboth beach, @potus was asked about the rising death toll in Hawaii," Bloomberg's Justin Sink posted to X, formerly known as Twitter. He said that the president responded with "no comment" before he went home.
Video later confirmed his account, showing as Biden paused briefly before responding and getting into his transportation.

Trump should have flown out there or sent a team. the flame out and heads exploding of Democrats would have been priceless.
If he physically went Democrats would complain he is getting in the way. So it would be best to have small team that charters small cargo ship or planes to send truckloads f food and other aid.
What we are learning is that Democrats do not know what a rain shadow is or do not want to admit they know. the town that was level was on the leeward side of the island (i.e. in the rain shadow). It means of course the vegetation was very dry.
The warning alarms did not go off. This is odd. They are tested once a month. They say be careful of conspiracy theories. A well maintain warning system that is tested monthly that does not go off, makes a person suspicious.
Maybe Joe was unconcerned, because he knew it was the plan for the alarm not go off and people were meant to die to push an agenda?
Buildings were not prepared for fire season. Warning sirens did not go off. There may have been an arsonist. But climate change. Sure /sarc
