The British Royal Navy's "Dreadnought Submarine' Is Progressing

The Dreadnought Class SSBN (ballistic missile submarine) will incorporate advanced features. This includes a new multi-layered sound reducing stealth, with built in outer hull.

Insider: The British navy is teaming up with the US to build a new 'Dreadnought' for a totally different battle at sea

* The British Royal Navy is building a new class of nuclear-powered ballistic-missile submarines.

* The British subs will have the same missile compartment as the US Navy's new missile subs.

* The name of the new subs recalls the first Dreadnought, a battleship that redefined naval warfare.

In 1906 the British Royal Navy commissioned HMS Dreadnought, a battleship that changed how surface warships were designed and sparked a naval arms race.

Armed with five turrets bearing twin 12-inch guns and featuring new technologies like steam turbines and electronic fire-control equipment, HMS Dreadnought became the standard on which future battleships were based and separated the "pre-dreadnought" and "dreadnought" eras.

Long after the battleship's reign came to an end, the name Dreadnought is still a defining one. The Royal Navy's first nuclear-powered submarine, in service from 1963 to 1980, was also called HMS Dreadnought.

I just think that after leaving the colonies England forgot that it really is an island, a tsunami bomb would spread and disappear from the map and not only that, we still have chemical weapons from the East that would pulverize the entire population of England in a matter of days, all this because it is an island like Japan

I wouldn't want to try and survive a world after the above said scenario

island gets destroyed.
Continent safe from same type weapon?

Waste of money. The brits can barely keep thier current fleet in service.

And the 3 comments above are exactly right. Britain is a small ISLAND. (not Australia) If Britain went to full nuke war, they would be wiped out.

"Britain is a small ISLAND."

And Russia is large?

1) first do not be fooled by a Mercator projection.

2) After you take into account the Mercator projection, Russia is still big. But. There is always a but. but how much f that land is arable? You know the arable parts are getting hit hard.

So how is princess going to live off the taiga and tundra?

Once the arable parts get hi, how connected will Russia be across several time zones?

Will Russia still have a deterrent if it fires back. After it fires back, maybe other like the stans or China move in and pick up pieces.

Sweet dream princess

you are a fool

the amount of bombs dropped in a specified area matters. just like water in a bucket. you pour 5 gallons of water into a 7 gallon bucket it will fill more space that a 10 Gallo bucket.

you toss 50 nukes into Russia. they may survive. you toss 50 into GB and the are all going to die.

where did you get your common sence....tatoo parlor, bubble gum machine or magic 8 ball?

let's more abusive and show others how clever we are

You toss 50 into Russia and you would no longer have viable country. People 100 miles away from a detonation point with no radiation sickness would die from hunger, exposure, etc.

sweet dreams

The magic 8 ball insult is so lame. It is not a thing anymore. Seriously when was the last item you saw it referenced in a movie, periodical or IRL? Is it so 90s, 80s, 70s? IDK

glad to see the GS4 equivalents in Russia have kept up with culture outside of Russia!

well

the gs info ops minion , otherwise known as mr helpful shows his face.

you are ignorant are you not?

if Russia receives so much fallout , as you said, you proved my point. GB, being much smaller, will be a radioactive waste land.

magic 8 ball fits you. because you do not know what you are talking about and can only parrot a narrative that you know nothing about.

btw. still waiting for the answers to the 5 questions
