Ukraine Wages All-Out War On Russia’s Black Sea Shipping

Politico: Ukraine declares war on Russia’s Black Sea shipping

Kyiv warns it’s ‘completely unjustifiable’ for Western vessels to continue shipping Russian oil.

Russian ports and ships on the Black Sea — including tankers carrying millions of barrels of oil to Europe — could justifiably be attacked by the Ukrainian military as part of efforts to weaken Moscow's war machine, a senior Kyiv official warned Monday in the wake of two recent attacks on Russian vessels.

"Everything the Russians are moving back and forth on the Black Sea are our valid military targets," Oleg Ustenko, an economic adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, told POLITICO, saying the move was retaliation for Russia withdrawing from the U.N.-brokered Black Sea grain deal and unleashing a series of missile attacks on agricultural stores and ports.

“This story started with Russia blocking the grain corridor, threatening to attack our vessels, destroying our ports,” Ustenko said. “Our maritime infrastructure is under constant attack."

Well Duh!

Russia is waging all out war on Ukrainian shipping. Did Putin, WNU and other bright bulbs not expect reciprocity?

My opinion of WNU continues to go down. What to expect from diplomatic meetings or endeavors is something I expect him to have an R^2 north of .50. I believe that he has a better idea than current 'long' serving US diplomats, who believe their own BS like Blinken. but the world is changing and WNU is like a good looking women, we know those have an expiration date. Beauty fades; the diplomatic rules change as well. rules of diplomacy are not infinite, but they can and do change. China has wolf warriors for example.

Air is compressible. for all intents and purposes water is not. Africa is not like it was during the cold War. It is not compressible. The facts on the ground have changed. There is no more playing around in the "3rd world" and not having it come back home. It has become as important and dangerous as the nomadic steppe.

It would be worthwhile to study the history of the steppe. That is it would be useful for people other than historians, professional and armchair, to study the steppe instead of DIE, I mean DEI, and CRT. The Russians might have the edge, since the steppe is literally in their blood not that most Americans intellectual or otherwise would know it.
