Russian general blasted in the face by bomb-rigged cellphone in failed assassination plot

A Russian general was seriously injured by an exploding cellphone used in a failed assassination attempt by Ukraine’s Security Service, according to local reports.

Major-General Yuri Afanasevskii, a former chairman of the State Customs Committee of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic controlled by Moscow-backed separatists, was blown up at his home in the occupied region Sunday.

He had been handed a bomb-rigged phone that detonated as soon as it was activated, according to Russia’s Investigative Committee.

Afanasevskii was rushed to the hospital with serious shrapnel wounds to his head, neck and stomach, sources with Ukraine’s Security Services told RBC-Ukraine.

The general’s 21-year-old son was also injured — and had to have three fingers amputated, according to the Russian state news agency Tass.

Elon Musk secretly shut down Starlink access off the coast of Crimea last year to thwart Ukraine's underwater USV attack on the Russian Navy.

The USVs, filled with explosives, had already approached the Russian fleet, but suddenly "lost contact and harmlessly washed ashore."

Musk's decision, as a result of which Ukrainian officials began to beg him to turn on the satellites again, was caused by an acute fear that Russia would respond to Ukraine's attack on Crimea with nuclear weapons, a fear caused by Musk's conversations with high-ranking officials from Russia.

2:46 So Musk had conversations. What date? Did Musk talk to US officials before or after? did the orks do more than threaten nuclear war? Did they threaten his family?

Tough break that the Russians got their hands on the drone, but they would have figured out the tech anyway. They are not stupid. They are amoral and greedy, but not stupid.

Post a snippet and write why you think it is germane to WNU's post or germane period.

Everyone here assumes you are anti-Russian and pro-Ukrainians not out of principle or considered thought, but simply because Hair Sniffer and the Democrats are.

So how do your posts support your rather unprincipled stand?

Why posts here without comment. If you want to post raw, uncommented on news stories take it to your website where the beauties for some reason have no beaver pelt.
