And he laid out a dark vision of what would happen should that aid, along with America’s larger commitment to defending democracy, not be delivered.

The phrase, "inflection point in history" has become another overused, meaningless term used by elites to impart gravitas and seriousness to their time in this era and actions or inactions they decide to take. Just listen to the White House spokeswoman. She'll be saying it a lot in the next few weeks. The actual "inflection point is history" will be when China invades Taiwan.
