I will have to waste some of my time running down the corruption allegations about Putin. On the plus side Putin is much more successful and ambitious than Joe Biden by 1 or 2 orders of magnitude.
On the negative side Genghis, Stalin and Putin have thoroughly fucked over Russia. No coming back from it.

Iran is calling shots. They looked at the correlation of forces and made their opening moves. If they are satisfied and if the US does not impress them , they will make further moves. Simply taking out the Hamas leadership, freeing a fee hostages, parking an aircraft carrier or wiping out Hamas is not going to dissuade them.
