Reuters: White House says Iran 'actively facilitating' some attacks on US military bases
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The White House on Monday said Iran was in some cases "actively facilitating" rocket and drone attacks by Iranian-backed proxy groups on U.S. military bases in Iraq and Syria, and President Biden has directed the Department of Defense to brace for more and respond appropriately.
White House spokesman John Kirby said there had been an uptick in such attacks over the last week, and especially over the last few days, but the U.S. would not allow its interests in the region to "go unchallenged."

The US should not have any military bases outside of the USA, and certainly not in the Middle East, which is over 10,000 miles away.

Russia needs a way to get back at America. the nature of our support to Ukraine has been hard on Russia. They will use this Mideast flare up to try and even the score is my guess. a two front existential threat war for Israel will harm our weapons systems and ammunition support to Ukraine.

they already doubled 155 ammo production and that was several months back. It was way ahead of schedule. They are still increasing production. They could go faster still, but the corporations do not want to be left holding the bag if orders suddenly stop. They can ramp up shell production very fast but the political will or desire in Washington is not there.
The time and effort the Democrat spend on encouraging and facilitating illegal immigration could be spent on ammo production. Production would quadruple, quintuple or whatever you need. You be amazed at how fast a production line can be set up. moving one is faster. Jack hammer the machines out of their foundation, transport it across the continent and pour new bases virtually over night. Maybe you might not be amazed lacking in imagination as you are.
When you live in the rust belt and there is fighting between the unions and management. When they can move production lines to right to work states, when you point out that the machinery is in a deep, poured concrete base that makes it look permanent and then you are told that is not a problem at all.
