China's New Naval Base In Cambodia Is Bigger Than What Was Expected

The base has grown considerably over the last 18 months, with a pier large enough for aircraft carriers already in place. The new dry dock is being built on reclaimed land. Chinese involvement is indisputable, but Cambodia denies that it is for the Chinese Navy (PLAN).

Naval News: Chinese Navy’s Suspected New Overseas Base in Cambodia Now Even Larger

There have been persistent reports of China attempting to expand the global reach of its Navy with a network of overseas bases. Ream in Cambodia has long been on that list. New evidence shows that a large dry dock is now under construction there. As the war in Ukraine shows, these facilities are strategically important.

China’s new naval base at Ream in Cambodia is well documented. It will provide the Chinese Navy (PLAN) with a base at the southern end of the highly contested South China Sea. The base is still east of the Malacca Straight which separates the South China Sea from the Indian Ocean, yet is still strategically important. And a key part of China’s construction of overseas bases.

In other news the 2nd best army in the world is pulling back form the 4km wide Dnipro river.
Rivers usually make good defensive barriers. So why are the Russians pulling back?

"Having assessed the situation, the command of the Dnipro group decided to move its troops to more favorable positions east of the Dnipro, the Russian Defense Ministry said. After the regrouping, the group will release some of its forces, which will be used for offensive operations in other directions, the ministry said.

Someone suggested it is a message from last year that somehow got into the newsfeed.

They have a right to such a base. 6 of 1 or half dozen of another, this base does not matter and like I said, they have a right.

But you won't see WNU ask if China has too many overseas bases unless he is shamed into it.

If he does he will use this argument, "IT'S B-I-I-I-G AND R-O-O-UND!" about American bases.

So how many bases do the Chinese have? Especially outside the eastern pacific? 1 or 2 maybe?

And the commenter goes B-I-I-I-G AND R-O-O-UND!" too!

Noty bitching. Youa re

Take Aruba. There a facility the in the airport. It is probably just a could be a few rooms to process mail, but it gets your skirt all flustered and in an uproar.

Take the base in Pine Gap in Australia, if the US was not there the Australians still would be. So the base would not be closed. Again another base that gets you panties in an uproar.

Diego Garcia. If the Us was not there the British still would be.

Be the problem is with you an your panties. You could through the list and see what size they are, if they are joint with another country, or what their function is. but that would not be as interesting to you as having your panties in an uproar.
