An aide to Ukraine's top general was killed by an explosive in a birthday gift
The top Ukrainian general said on Monday that one of his aides was killed by an explosive device inside a birthday gift.
In a Telegram message, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the commander-in-chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces, said his assistant and close friend Maj. Hennadii Chastiakov was celebrating his birthday when an "unknown explosive device" detonated in one of his gifts. It was not immediately known where or when the incident took place, or who exactly was in attendance.
Zaluzhnyi said Chastiakov's death caused "unspeakable pain" and is a "heavy loss" not only for himself but for the military as well. He said Chastiakov had been a "reliable shoulder" for the top general since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and that his death will be investigated.
Chastiakov's wife said the item that exploded was a grenade inside a gift bag, Ukrainska Pravda reported, citing an unnamed law enforcement source. The gift bag also contained a bottle of alcohol and shot glasses that looked like grenades, per the report. Chastiakov's 13-year-old son was reportedly also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Maybe it was a way of cleaning house of the corruption. Do not know.
1) I had suggested killing the most corrupt without trial.
I have a hard time getting my head around that a colleague would give such a present.
If you are in the business with death and destruction all around you, I can see where not a macabre gift but a martial gift might have some appeal.
But what about de-mil-ing it?
2a) What if it was de-milled and then a 3rd party swapped it out?
2b) What if it was demilled and shitty job done. There have been videos of soldiers taking apart cluster munitions using hand tools so they can use them on drones. So maybe a bad job a de-mil?
3) If it was the Russians more reason to kill the orcs.
Or Zelinski is sending a message to General Zaluzhnyi.
These are analysis out there that say the relations between Zman and General Z are not good. Also the line Troops hate Zman. Maybe Zman is worried about a coup.
Perhaps Valerii Zaluzhnyi "dissent" to wake up certain governments in NATO. Scholzy baby comes to mind.
Scholz growing up girded his loins for political battle. He can deal with it. He can face it. He never contemplated military battle and this is a mistake many people make. Not conditioning themselves to the possibility of battle they shrink from it. Which makes it all the more likely.
I have been involved in numerous computer science projects since the 1980s, as well as developing numerous web projects since 1996.
These blogs are a summation of all the information that I read and catalog pertaining to the subjects that interest me.

Maybe Russian, maybe an internal Ukrainian issue. With the high level of corruption, this type of action is not surprising.

Russia needs to be destroyed.
