US Navy Facing Difficulties To Deliver Submarines

Columbia-class submarine construction remains a Pentagon priority. (US Navy)

James: Struggles continue for US Navy to meet submarine-building requirements, commitments

The US Navy (USN) has continued to face difficulties in delivering Virginia-class attack submarines (SSNs), maintaining existing vessels, and gearing up for the construction and delivery schedule for the Columbia-class ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs) meant to replace the Ohio-class boats for the US fleets.

Meeting the requirements for the trinational Australian, UK, and US (AUKUS) agreement to bolster the Australian submarine fleet will likely mean a dip in the US submarine fleet below its future goals and needs, according to a recent report by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

The US has given away over 10 times that much to the lost cause of Ukraine. Under Biden, the USA can afford to give away its wealth to a corrupt government who can not win their war with Russia, but it can not cover a cost over run of 1/5 that amount to produce subs to protect our own nation! No wonder the US is a sinking ship under Biden and the Democrats.

#OnThisDay 76 years ago, the USSRʼs authorities began the forced deportation over 78,000 Ukrainians from the West of the country to remote areas of Siberia & Kazakhstan. Operation West was the most massive Stalinist deportation of the population of western Ukraine in order to neutralize 🇺🇦 liberation movement. It is important to know and remember history to prevent similar crimes in the future.

Better Biden and the Democrats than some Russian pussy troll.

What is your argument. Let the Russian leader who is morally bankrupt have his way, because the American leader is morally bankrupt?

Some argument you have there. Tu quoque much?

What is it with all the russian-ukrainian comments? On an article only marginally tied to that. Newsflash a big war is coming one that will make the medium sized scuffle in eastern Europe seem small. Let see if anyone cares about your comments then. Stay focused on articles directly related to that not all of them. Stop flooding the comments section with your petty obsession. Not everything is about you.

"Newsflash a big war is coming one that will make the medium sized scuffle in eastern Europe seem small. "

Wrong. Various commenters on Twitter and Youtube have used satellite data to count the number of tanks, artillery and BMPs that the Orks have. Knowing what was in the army , what is or was sorted, the production rare and the burn rate, we know how long the Russians can last. This is not a small war in Ukraine., Russia has been more than decimated. Russia cannot face Finland, Sweden, Norway and the Baltic countries in addition to Ukraine and win, Not without going nuke.

I look at the counts. They are updated periodically. We will see if those keep on track. All Russia really can hope for is a North Vietnamese style win. Lose on the battlefield but win in the press. That is it. That is all.

Maybe not that.

Maybe they will keep fighting like the Japanese did in WW2 in hopes of better terms. Lot of delusional thinking in Moscow.

The Ukraine war is tied to the sub fleet. Without Putin's elective war and Xi's save rattling, their would be a peace dividend chorus in Congress.

So yes, it is related.

I'm talking about East Asia you dummy. That's where the big war is coming.Do you not even watch the news? Are you so naive to be so blindsided by one small war.The fact that I have to spell it out for you naive morons tells me how uninformed you are. This article has nothing to do with Ukraine. Keep your comments in the section reserved for Ukraine. While you still can.Once the real war starts you're gonna get pushed out of the limelight completely.Watch the news.

You ukie rah rah guys are really smoking a lot of hopium lately.

There is no way that the ukies are going to win. Loss estimates are messed up. You are probably getting your loss estimates from the US gov or western MSM, and who do they rely on for information? .Yes, The AFU which are horribly inflated and many times outright fabrications.

How do we know this is correct? Well how many times have we been told the russians have no tanks or BMPs and their Air Force was non existent? Too many. Its bullshit

READ THIS AGAIN and Maybe you will make up one day.

yes we know

Russians are dying in mass

Russians lost 10 billion tanks

Starship Enterprise used a photon torpedo on the Kremlin and that is why Putin had a heart attack.

Russians are surrendering by the zillions and have given Siberia to the Mongolians.

But some how, some way, ..... with all the Nato aid .......and all the nato training,.... the Ukrainians cannot break though the Russian lines or re-take their lost territory.

The Ukies, therefore must be really pathetic if they cannot defeat such an incompetent force.

Is that what you are trying to say?

OR try reading this one again

from the west and Ukrainian sources.

UKR Strana headlines (machine translation):

Ukraine is losing the war with the Russian Federation due to the inadequate perception of the situation by society — commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - Strana.news - Oct. 30, 2023

Strategically, Ukraine is losing the war because of the inadequate perception of the situation by society.
This opinion was expressed by the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Kukharchuk in an interview with Channel Five.

He claims that at the beginning of the war, all Ukrainians were ready to defend the country, there were many volunteers. But after the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kiev, the situation changed.

"Immediately after that, I noticed that there were theses in the media that we are fighting with homeless people, that the Russian army does not know how to fight, that in principle victory will be in a week or two, a maximum of a month. That first in the spring, then in the summer, then in the autumn, then in the winter, without specifying which winter, we will go to the Crimea. That the victory is basically victorious. So people were put in a warm bathroom. We have broken down the vision of reality. But it didn't happen in Russia. They began to realize that the war was not going to be easy for them. They realized that they would have to fight for a long time, " Kukharchuk believes.

He also says that the Russians are "getting stronger" every day, and if Ukraine really fought the "degenerates", it would have defeated them long ago.

"That's why we're losing. They have these processes going on, and their public readiness is much higher than that of our society. And when they talk about a nuclear bomb, a war of all against all, for some reason it seems to me that they are ready for these processes, " the battalion commander added.

Zelenski still hasn't. He won't concede:

The cold will also make military advances more difficult, locking down the front lines at least until the spring. But Zelensky has refused to accept that. “Freezing the war, to me, means losing it,” he says. Before the winter sets in, his aides warned me to expect major changes in their military strategy and a major shake-up in the President’s team. At least one minister would need to be fired, along with a senior general in charge of the counteroffensive, they said, to ensure accountability for Ukraine’s slow progress at the front. “We’re not moving forward,” says one of Zelensky’s close aides. Some front-line commanders, he continues, have begun refusing orders to advance, even when they came directly from the office of the President. “They just want to sit in the trenches and hold the line,” he says. “But we can’t win a war that way.”
When I raised these claims with a senior military officer, he said that some commanders have little choice in second-guessing orders from the top. At one point in early October, he said, the political leadership in Kyiv demanded an operation to “retake” the city of Horlivka, a strategic outpost in eastern Ukraine that the Russians have held and fiercely defended for nearly a decade. The answer came back in the form of a question: With what? “They don’t have the men or the weapons,” says the officer. “Where are the weapons? Where is the artillery? Where are the new recruits?”

In some branches of the military, the shortage of personnel has become even more dire than the deficit in arms and ammunition. One of Zelensky’s close aides tells me that even if the U.S. and its allies come through with all the weapons they have pledged, “we don’t have the men to use them.”

It has eroded the ranks of Ukraine’s armed forces so badly that draft offices have been forced to call up ever older personnel, raising the average age of a soldier in Ukraine to around 43 years. “They’re grown men now, and they aren’t that healthy to begin with,” says the close aide to Zelensky. “This is Ukraine. Not Scandinavia.”

Ukraine can't surrender and NATO can't lose. Even if some of NATO steps back (fascist friendly governments elected from time to time...that then fail), others like Poland, Czech Republic, the Baltics, the Nordics will not step back (the Tallinn 8). Those republics have had recent experience being ruled by fascist Moscow and did not like it.

MR Nobody said...

You have not figured it out yet have you?

NATO will not lose.

After Ukraine has lost the war and is partitioned.

The new narrative will be........

No., the West will say ..."the situation was resolved"... We "achieved peace".

or

"after the collapse of the Ukrainian government we realized diplomacy was the humanitarian thing to do."

and

"And in every case , Our allies and the materials we provided , Performed admirably"

or

"We succeeded inn stopping Putin"

This will be the mantra of bullshit you will see.

" Yes!! We, NATO/ USA were VICTORIOUS as usual.

Yes sir... just like Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan. It will be some bullshit narrative, excuse story about how everything the West did was just great

Watch for it. And remember

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST

Now for the rest of your comment

As for who ruled them, it was not "fascist Moscow". But the Soviet Union. A super communist state founded by European liberal elites and a Mixed bag of Czarist imperial nationalities.

What you have In place today is not that monster.

You have is a government who has constantly been reluctant to go into other nation states like, Georgia, Moldova , Armenia and others AND once they went in. They GOT OUT as soon as they could.

That is not the actions of a war mongering, conquering state.

What will those Eastern European countries do when Ukraine implodes under its own stupidity for following the USA down the road of perdition?

Probably nothing. Because the only alternative is to start a war with the Current Russian state. That will not happen.

The Russians will retake all Russian populated areas of what is now Ukraine and leave Galicia.
The Ukrainians will be left out to dry and probably be dominated by the Poles.
