Ukraine President Zelensky Delivers End-Of-Year Press Conference. Says Ukraine Military Wants An Extra 500,000 Soldiers

Daily Mail: Zelensky says a Trump presidency could have 'strong impact' on Ukraine war as he admits the conflict could run into 2025 but is 'certain US and European financial support will continue'

* President said in end-of-year speech that Russia achieved 'no results' in 2023

* He said a Trump presidency may significantly change the invasion's outcome

* Trump previously tried to lean on Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden in 2019

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky said that if Donald Trump were to win the presidential election in 2024, it may have a significant impact on the outcome of Russia's 22-month-long invasion.

He said on Tuesday: 'If the policy of the next president, whoever it is, is different towards Ukraine, more cold or more economical, I think these signals will have a very strong impact on the course of the war.'

He added that Trump would 'surely have a different policy' to Biden, but earlier said he was certain that the US and Europe will continue to support Ukraine's war efforts.

WNU editor: Here is an easy prediction. Ukraine's forced conscription/mobilization of 500,000 more soldiers is going to face a lot of push-back from a population that is tired of this war.

Its assumed Ukraine has more than 1 million under arms right now including police units internal security and new conscripts probably 1.2 to 1.4.Lets say at minimum more than 100k have been killed or crippled. We're not including lightly wounded who have returned to duty but those who are too injured to ever come back.Ukraine had about 40 million residents before the war of which maybe 10 million were males ages 17 to 50. Of these maybe 8 million could actually serve. Adding 500k on paper should be doable albeit difficult. But the cost of equipping and feeding them will have to come out of EU or US pockets.500k is about the size of the peacetime US Army.So costs will balloon quite a bit. Even underequipped they will.
