Nato's article 5 does not mean absolutely another member should take military action in support. the article says if the other member is a "victim of attack" they should support that member in some way. So, if the Brits send troops to Ukraine and Russia attacks these troops in Ukie land, does that mean the Brits are a "victim of attack". If the Brits attack Russia first and Russia strikes back, does that mean the Brits are a "Victim of attack?" I believe the USA misleaders would use that as the excuse they need to engage Russia. However, other NATO members might resent that the Brits dragged them into a world war they do not want. If this plays out, it might be the end of NATO. Let's see how stupid the poorly armed and prepared Brits are. And which countries follow them into hell.
