ABC News: US strikes Houthi fighters again amid continued attacks on ships off Yemen: Officials
The group has targeted vessels in response to the Israel-Hamas war.
The U.S. has launched a new retaliatory strike against Houthi targets in Yemen amid the group's continued attacks on international ships in the area, officials said Wednesday.
Five areas were targeted in the U.S. strikes on Yemen: the governorates of Hodeidah, Taiz, Dhamar, Bayda, and Saada, the Sanaa-Saba press agency, the Houthi state media claimed.
CENTCOM said in a post on X Wednesday night that the strike targeted 14 Iranian-made Houthi missiles "that were loaded to be fired in Houthi controlled areas in Yemen.”

Proportional force scares no one except innocent citizens along for the ride in a country ran by doofuses
With proportional force, the Houthis know their expected loss rate. Therefore they can decide before any action if they can afford it. If or when they strike, you know they have already accepted the incoming losses and do not care. They are also certain of being able to lash out at a rate that is acceptable to them and which causes enough damage to suit their political purposes. It is not however acceptable losses to shipping lines and admiralty insurance carriers.
What general would not want to know what their loss rate would be, if they engaged in a variety of actions. They could do planning and know the expected results ahead of time. They would know it not with certainty, but pretty close.
The generals would know they would never face a catastrophic defeat, but only speed bumps or setbacks that can be easily remedied by sugar daddy Iran.
The only way non-action could be a smart move is if the Saudis cannot ship oil and this feel pain and thus feel the need to attack the Houthis.
With the Saudis on one side and the US Navy on the other side coupled with an embargo the Houthis would fold. But Lloydo, Blinked and Snake belong to the Fuck Around Club of grifters and idiots.
