Despite the continued 'steadfast' rhetoric on 'not backing down' to Russian forces which has persisted from Zelensky's office, the consensus among realists has been that Ukraine's only way out at this point is through negotiated settlement.
On a public level at least, the White House has continued to back Kiev in rejecting negotiations as the bloodshed continues. Yet there has for many months been the suspicion that even the Biden administration sees the proverbial writing on the wall, and is quietly pressing for President Zelensky to engage in negotiations.

WNU Editor: I am not surprised that the West is looking for a way to end the current war, or to at least freeze the conflict. It is not going to succeed. The Kremlin has no interest in negotiations right now, and neither does Zelensky.

There's nothing to discuss unless Zelensky is prepared to hand over Kharkov and Odessa. If he was it would probably mean Ukraine gets to keep Dnipro, Sumy, and Poltava. But he won't so they'll lose them all.

If that is the Russian position, russia needs to be partitioned like Germany was
