New York Post: ‘Call off your f- -king dogs!’ Hillary rages to Obama

An enraged Hillary Rodham Clinton blew up at President Obama, demanding he “call off your f–king dogs” looking into her emails during a tense Oval Office meeting, according to a new book.

The book, “Unlikeable: The Problem with Hillary,” says the former first lady was furious at what she believed were damaging leaks by Obama aides that led to investigations of her use of a private email server as secretary of state. So she went right to the top to settle the matter.

Clinton requested a meeting with Obama, against the advice of hubby Bill Clinton, believing “she was being persecuted for minor, meaningless violations,” author Edward Klein writes.

WNU Editor: I do not know if this story is true .... but man-o-man .... I wish I was a fly in that room when this discussion happened (if it did). But there are signs that it did happen .... Obama to skip Clinton summit (Politico). I have seen election campaigns go off the rails more than once .... but hers has really gone through the ringer. But she is lucky .... no one of substance has risen to oppose her in the race for the Democrat Presidential nomination ... but this may change .... The former Secretary of State walked back comparisons to Hitler but remained critical of the Russian president

Speaking at an event at UCLA on Wednesday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton denied she drew a parallel between Russia’s recent actions in Ukraine and Nazi Germany at a fundraiser on Tuesday.

“I’m not making a comparison, certainly,” Clinton said. “But I am recommending that we perhaps can learn from this tactic that has been used before.” She also called Putin “a tough guy with a thin skin.”

My Comment: Someone must have told her that if she wants to hold a high office again in the future .... even President .... comments like that will have consequences. Saul Alinsky tactics of demonizing your opponents on a national level is one thing .... but doing it on on an international level can be very  dangerous .... hence it must be done very carefully. But as I had commented here .... in many Russians she has already crossed a certain red line. In my case .... I enjoy calling Putin a "mafia Don" who loves to hang out with billionaire oligarchs .... something that privately he would also probably agree with.

LONG BEACH: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday compared recent actions by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Ukraine to those implemented by Adolf Hitler in the late 1930s.

Putin’s desire to protect minority Russians in Ukraine is reminiscent of Hitler’s actions to protect ethnic Germans outside Germany, she said.

Putin has been on a campaign to give Russian passports to anyone who has Russian connections, Clinton said.

My Comment: One of the worst insults that you can level at a Russian is to call them a Nazi. Comparing Putin to Hitler is going to cause an even greater backlash .... Putin's brother died during the siege of Leningrad in the Second World War. And while I doubt that Putin will respond directly .... I just know that he is seething with anger on this one .... and he will not forgive. As for the regular Russian on the street .... their reaction will also be the same.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has declared war on paperwork in her agency.

Clinton announced Wednesday that she has dispatched her staff to eliminate the mind-numbing reports routinely required of U.S. diplomats, acknowledging that most of the thousands of reports ordered up every year "are never read."

"All too often, you and your officers are tied to desks fulfilling hundreds of reporting requirements mandated by both Congress and the [State] Department," Clinton told a group of ambassadors gathered in Washington for the Global Chiefs of Mission conference.

While Secretary Clinton's reaction to a question in Congo may not have any political repercussions, some foreign policy analysts say it reflects her limitations as a diplomat.

In case it wasn't clear before, Hillary Clinton -- not her husband -- is the nation's top diplomat.

The secretary of state curtly sent that message to a Congolese university student who asked her Monday through a translator what "Mr. Clinton" thinks about China's growing influence.

Turns out, though, the student was trying to ask what President Obama thought.

My Comment: Like her husband, she has a reputation of having a temper. My take on this situation .... Africa in the middle of summer is a lousy place to be. It is hot and humid, and at her age it just got to her.

The fact that she also knows that her husband is staying in party central (Las Vegas) for a day or two to celebrate his 63rd birthday while she is in the middle of Africa .... yup .... she is not a happy camper and the poor African student was her target.

But I say .... so what. She is what she is, and we (again) saw the type of person that she is .... a fact that should not be a surprise to anyone.

On Syria, Iran, and a Palestinian state, Israel's new leadership disagrees with the Obama administration.

JERUSALEM - Embarking on her first trip to the region as secretary of State, Hillary Clinton pledged that the Obama administration will unshakably support Israel's security and vigorously pursue the creation of a Palestinian state.

That's not substantially different from Washington's stated Middle East policy in recent years. But Mrs. Clinton is likely to find herself and US policy at loggerheads with the new government of Israel, soon to be headed by the conservative Likud leader, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Clinton Doubtful On Iran Diplomacy

US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton expressed doubt Monday that Iran would respond to the Obama administration's expressions of interest in engaging Teheran on nuclear and other issues, a senior State Department official said.

Clinton made the statement in a private meeting with the foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who had expressed to Clinton a concern among Persian Gulf nations that Obama might make a deal with Iran without full consultation with US allies. The official who described the exchange spoke on condition of anonymity because the meeting was private.

SEOUL, South Korea — Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Thursday that a potential power struggle to succeed North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-il, had injected a troubling new element into negotiations with North Korea over its nuclear weapons program.

The jockeying to succeed Mr. Kim, 67, who suffered a stroke last August and has only partially recovered, raises pressure on the United States, South Korea, China, and other countries to revive the sputtering negotiations, Mrs. Clinton said to reporters on her plane before arriving in Seoul.

“If there is a succession, even if it’s a peaceful succession, that creates more uncertainty, and it may also encourage behaviors that are even more provocative, as a way to consolidate power within the society,” said Mrs. Clinton, on her first foreign trip as secretary of state.
