Sputnik: IDF Launches Massive Military Exercise to Simulate War on 'Multiple Fronts' Amid Flaring Tensions 

A number of Palestinian protesters sustained injuries during riots along the border of the Gaza Strip on Saturday as unrest flared around the Temple Mount and ahead of planned evictions in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of east Jerusalem, with the IDF launching tear gas and firing rubber bullets in response, according to Palestinian reports. 

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are launching the largest exercise in their history on Sunday, according to Kan News.

Times of Israel: IDF receives new spy plane it says will help gather intel in Iran, Yemen, Iraq 

The Oron, a Gulfstream jet outfitted with a variety of sensors and data collection equipment, can rapidly identify targets in all weather conditions, developer says 

The Israel Defense Forces received the first of a series of new spy aircraft, dubbed the Oron, on Sunday that it said would improve its ability to gather intelligence and identify targets for attack in Iran, Iraq, Yemen and other far-flung areas in the Middle East. 

“The IDF and the air force already have a variety of intelligence collection capabilities, but the ‘Oron’ strengthens our superiority and our ability to operate in the second and third tiers and to move between fronts rapidly and over a long period of time,” said Israeli Air Force chief Amikam Norkin.

Times Of Israel: IDF declares: We are first military in the world with herd immunity 

81% of troops already protected against COVID-19 and more getting vaccinated each day; ‘Things look a lot like they did a year ago,’ chief medical officer says 

The Israel Defense Forces on Thursday announced that its vaccination campaign had successfully given its troops “herd immunity” against the coronavirus, which it said made it the first army to achieve that goal. 

“After 10 weeks, I can declare that the IDF is the first military in the world to reach herd immunity,” Maj. Gen. Itzik Turgeman, the head of the military’s Technology and Logistics Directorate, told reporters on Thursday.
