Jerusalem Post: Israel strikes in Syria after rockets fired toward Golan Heights 

The IDF said two rockets were launched at Israel from Syria and fell in open fields 

The IDF struck infrastructure belonging to the Syrian Army, including mortar launchers, in response to rocket fire earlier in the evening from Syria toward Israel, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said early Wednesday morning in a rare statement. 

Syrian media reported that the strikes targeted southern Syria's Daara region at both a radar site near Qarfa and warehouses of the 12th Armored Brigade in Izraa. The Syrian army announced on Wednesday morning that 11 Syrian soldiers had been killed in the strikes.

Al Jazeera: Israel cripples Syria’s two main airports in strikes: Syrian state media 

Damascus and Aleppo airports knocked out of service in Israeli attacks, state news agency SANA says. 

Israel has launched missile strikes on Syria’s two main airports in Damascus and the northern city of Aleppo, knocking both out of service, Syrian state media has said. 

The “simultaneous” attacks damaged landing strips in the two airports, “putting them out of service,” state news agency SANA said on Thursday, citing a military source.

The IDF responded with artillery and mortar fire toward the source of the Syrian shelling. 

The IDF said it was responding to shells fired from Syria into Israel on Tuesday night. Some of the shells most likely landed in open fields in Israel's Golan Heights, the military added.

France 24: Israeli air strikes hit 'anti-aircraft battery' in Syria 

Israel carried out air strikes in Syria near the government-held city of Homs, Syrian state media reported on Sunday, and the Israeli army later said it struck an anti-aircraft battery after rocket fire. A war monitor said the Homs-area strikes killed a member of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. 

During more than a decade of war in Syria, Israel has launched hundreds of air raids on Syrian territory, primarily targeting Iran-backed forces and Lebanese Hezbollah fighters as well as Syrian army positions. 

"The Israeli enemy carried out air strikes coming from the northeast of Beirut, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Homs," which is about 20 kilometres (12 miles) from Lebanon, Syrian state-run news agency SANA said, quoting a military source. 

SANA reported that Syrian air defences intercepted some missiles, and that there had been some "material" losses.

CNBC/Reuters: Israel hits Syria after rockets fired toward Golan Heights 

Israeli jets hit Syrian military targets on Sunday in response to rockets launched towards Israeli controlled territory overnight, Israel’s military said, as violence flared again following cross-border exchanges of fire during the week. 

State media in Syria reported explosions in the vicinity of the capital Damascus as Israel said its forces continued to hit Syrian territory after six rockets were fired overnight towards the Golan Heights. 

Israel said artillery and drone strikes hit the rocket launchers and were followed by airstrikes against a Syrian army compound, military radar systems and artillery posts.

Al-Monitor: Two Syrian soldiers injured in suspected Israeli strikes  

Israel is suspected of carrying out numerous attacks against Syrian and Iranian military targets in Syria this year. 

Two Syrian soldiers were injured in a suspected Israeli missile attack early Thursday morning. 

Syria's official news outlet SANA reported that the missiles hit unspecified targets outside of Damascus at 1:20 a.m. local time (6:20 p.m. ET Wednesday). The missiles were fired from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. Syrian air defenses downed some of the missiles. Two Syrian soldiers were injured in addition to material damage, according to SANA.

US News and World Report/Reuters: Syria Says Israeli Strike Puts Aleppo Airport Out of Service 

BEIRUT (Reuters) -An Israeli air strike knocked Aleppo airport out of service on Tuesday and forced the Syrian authorities to reroute flights carrying aid for people affected by last month's earthquake, Syrian state media reported. 

The Israeli military declined to comment. Israel has for years been carrying out attacks against what it has described as Iran-linked targets in Syria, where Tehran's influence has grown since it began supporting President Bashar al-Assad in the civil war that began in 2011. 

In the second attack on Aleppo airport in six months, Syrian air defences intercepted missiles launched from the Mediterranean, west of the coastal city of Latakia, at 2:07 a.m. (2307 GMT), state news agency SANA reported, citing a military source.

Jerusalem Post/Reuters: Rocket strike in Damascus hit Iranian military sites, experts, sources say 

A rocket attack in Damascus on Sunday that Syria blamed on Israel hit an installation where Iranian officials were meeting to advance programs to develop drone or missile capabilities of Tehran's allies in Syria, sources told Reuters. 

Iran has been a major backer of President Bashar al-Assad during Syria's nearly 12-year conflict. Its support for Damascus and the Lebanese group Hezbollah has drawn regular Israeli air strikes meant to curb Tehran's extraterritorial military power. 

A source close to the Syrian government with knowledge of Sunday's strike and its target said it hit a gathering of Syrian and Iranian technical experts in drone manufacturing, though he said no top-level Iranian was killed.

Reuters: Israeli missile strikes building in central Damascus, five dead 

AMMAN (Reuters) - An Israeli rocket strike early on Sunday hit a building in central Damascus's Kafr Sousa neighbourhood near a large, heavily guarded security complex close to Iranian installations, killing five people, witnesses and officials said. 

The rare, targeted strike damaged several buildings in the densely populated district close to Omayyad square in the heart of the capital, where multi-storey security buildings are located within residential areas. 

A police official said on state media that there were several casualties and injured. An Israeli military spokesperson declined to comment. Citing a military source, state media said Israel had carried out air strikes targeting several areas in the capital shortly after midnight, causing five deaths and 15 injuries among civilians, and damage to several residential buildings.

Politico/AP: Drones reportedly attack convoy in east Syria coming from Iraq  

It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack on the convoy in the border region of Boukamal. 

BEIRUT — Drones attacked a convoy of trucks in eastern Syria Sunday night shortly after it crossed into the country from Iraq, Syrian opposition activists and a pro-government radio station said. 

There was no immediate word on casualties. 

The strike comes amid heightening tension between Iran and its rivals in the region. It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack on the convoy in the Syrian border region of Boukamal, which is a stronghold of Iran-backed militias. 

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition war monitor, said the drones appear to have been from the U.S.-led coalition, adding that they targeted six refrigerated trucks. The group said there were casualties and ambulances rushed to the area.

The Syrian army said Israel conducted a rocket attack Sunday evening on targets in the vicinity of Damascus. 

A Syrian army statement said the attack came from the Golan Heights and that it downed most of the missiles. 

An Israeli military spokesman declined to comment.

 In a briefing to supporters of his party on Friday, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Israel was taking action "almost weekly" to prevent Iranian entrenchment in Syria.

TEHRAN - An air strike late on Tuesday hit two fuel tankers in the Syrian territory shortly after they entered from Iraq, the Iranian TV reported.

BAGHDAD/BEIRUT (Reuters) -At least two fuel trucks were destroyed in an air strike by an unidentified drone on the Syrian side of the border with Iraq late on Tuesday, Iraqi security and border officials told Reuters. 

The strike was carried out by a drone and targeted a tanker truck convoy carrying Iranian fuel that had entered Qaim border crossing into Syria, the officials said. "No Iraqi casualties have been reported", said an Iraqi border police officer. 

A huge blaze was seen on the Syrian side of the border, said a security official. The convoy included more than 20 tanker trucks. Iran's state-run Press TV channel confirmed the attack and accused the United States of carrying it out, saying “a convoy of 22 tankers carrying fuel to Lebanon crossing from Iraq to Syria was attacked by U.S. drones" at the Syrian town of Albukamal.

Euroweekly: Israel claims to have destroyed an Iranian drone manufacturing plant in Syria 

Israel claims that it destroyed an Iranian drone manufacturing plant over the weekend. 

According to a report by the Yedioth Aharonot newspaper on Monday, October 24, Israeli military bombed the facility in Syrian territory on Saturday. 

The facility had been reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (an organisation based in Great Britain) who said that it was used to assemble unmanned craft using components manufactures in Iran. These it said were then shipped secretly to Dimas, in southern Syria. 

Israeli sources told the newspaper that the attack was launched from the Sea of Galilee, however, most of the missiles were shot down by Iranian defence systems. It is though that the Israelis disabled the region’s radar to execute the attack.

An Israeli missile attack on Syria’s Aleppo airport has damaged the runway and taken it out of service, SANA reported. 

An Israeli air attack on Aleppo airport in Syria’s north has damaged the runway and taken it out of service, the Syrian state media said quoting a military source in the wake of the second reported attack on the airport in less than a week. 

The Israel missile attack was launched from the Mediterranean Sea, west of the coastal city of Latakia, at 8:16pm local time (17:16 GMT), the SANA news agency said on Tuesday. 

Syrian air defences intercepted Israeli missiles, downing several of them, the SANA said. It made no mention of casualties but only reported “material damage”.

Syria accused Israel of carrying out two consecutive airstrikes on Wednesday night, the first against the Aleppo International Airport and the second near the capital Damascus.

The United States has reviewed in advance several of the air strikes Israel carried out against Iranian targets in Syria, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing current and former officials. 

While Israel and Russia coordinate Israeli operations in Syria through a deconfliction mechanism, the US has largely kept silent about any coordination it has with Israel, the newspaper reported on Thursday.

Times of Israel: Israeli strikes launched at targets near Damascus for 2nd time this week, Syria says 

Attacks attributed to Israel in Russia-dominated airspace continue amid Putin’s Ukraine war; no reports of casualties 

Israeli jets carried out airstrikes near the Syrian capital Damascus on Thursday night for the second time in under a week, Syrian state media said. 

“An Israeli air raid targeted certain positions near Damascus,” Syrian state news agency SANA said, without reporting any casualties or damage. Syrian air defense systems fired at the attacking Israeli aircraft, and residents of the area heard and felt many explosions, SANA said.

Times of Israel: Satellite images show smoldering wreckage at Syria port after alleged Israeli strike  

Photos suggest fire caused by high-precision strike on Latakia that appeared to hit single container; Tuesday attack was 2nd time Israel reportedly targeted the key cargo hub 

Satellite images taken this week over the Syrian port of Latakia show the smoldering wreckage after an alleged Israeli missile strike, hours after firefighters contained a massive blaze. 

The images suggest the fire was caused by a high precision strike on Tuesday that appeared to hit only one container. 

Satellite photos obtained by The Associated Press from Planet Labs PBC Thursday showed heavy smog over the container terminal on Wednesday, likely from the struck container still smoking.
