CNN: Exclusive: Melania Trump reflects on Asia trip and the past year

Mutianyu, China (CNN)No visit to China would be complete without seeing the Great Wall, which is exactly how first lady Melania Trump wrapped her first-ever trip to Asia. Stopping before she went to the top, Trump spoke exclusively with CNN about her six-day tour of the region, specifically how she felt seeing her first lady counterparts in Japan, South Korea and China.

"We had a great time, it was nice to see them again," said Trump of Akie Abe of Japan, Madam Kim Jung-sook of South Korea and Madam Peng Liyuan of China.

"They were in the United States before and we have a great relationship with all three of them," she said.

(CNN)President Donald Trump's first wife, Ivana Trump, called herself "first lady" in an interview Monday ahead of the release of her memoir, "Raising Trump." Now his current wife, first lady Melania Trump, is firing back, slamming her comments as "attention-seeking and self-serving noise."

Trump boasted of having the "direct number" to her ex-husband at the White House, telling ABC News she talks to the President about once every 14 days.

"I have the direct number to White House but I don't really want to call him there because Melania is there and I don't really want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that because I'm basically first Trump wife, OK? I'm first lady, OK?" she told ABC, laughing.

The current and only first lady fired back via a sharply-worded statement to CNN from her communications director, Stephanie Grisham.

Eric Trump has said he is "sure" his sister Ivanka used her influence over their father to encourage the US president to launch military action against Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

Donald Trump ordered air strikes against a Syrian air base last Thursday night in response to a chemical weapons attack by the Assad regime on Tuesday that killed at least 87 people including more than 30 children.

“Ivanka is a mother of three kids and she has influence. I’m sure she said: ‘Listen, this is horrible stuff,’" Eric Trump told the Telegraph.

* The White House on Friday night was releasing financial disclosure forms for upper-level White House staffers
* The information revealed stocks, trusts, partnerships, and board memberships that the aides had before the joined the White House
* The officials had to negotiate with a government ethics office before taking government jobs
* Trump administration touted its release of the information a few days before the Obama administration did in 2009, although both dumped the documents on a Friday night

The White House prepared to release financial information about some top staff members on its website late Friday, giving the public a rare glimpse into the holdings of some of President Donald Trump's top lieutenants.

Among those whose disclosures were being closely watched was

Gary Cohn, the former president of Goldman Sachs, who chairs the president's National Economic Council.

Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner also filled out a disclosure agreement negotiated with government lawyers.
The information on about 180 White House staffers was to be released in batches.

New York Times: Senate Committee to Question Jared Kushner Over Meetings With Russians

Senate investigators plan to question Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and a close adviser, as part of their broad inquiry into ties between Trump associates and Russian officials or others linked to the Kremlin, according to administration and congressional officials.

The White House Counsel’s Office was informed this month that the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, wanted to question Mr. Kushner about meetings he arranged with the Russian ambassador, Sergey I. Kislyak, according to the government officials. The meetings, which took place during the transition, included a previously unreported sit-down with the head of Russia’s state-owned development bank.

Until now, the White House had acknowledged only an early December meeting between Mr. Kislyak and Mr. Kushner, which occurred at Trump Tower and was also attended by Michael T. Flynn, who would briefly serve as the national security adviser.

* 'Your father is ruining the country,' said Dan Goldstein, a lawyer from Brooklyn, who had a child in his arms
* He then began demanding to know why Ivanka was on the flight and not travelling on a private plane while she sat with her kids
* Ivanka ignored him and tried to preoccupy her children with crayons while the man berated her
* A fellow passenger said later that Ivanka told security and flight staff she did not want to make the incident a thing and have anyone removed from the flight
* The man's husband, Matthew Lasner, later tweeted: 'My husband expressed his displeasure in a calm tone, JetBlue staff overheard, and they kicked us off'
* However one hour before that he wrote on Twitter: 'Ivanka and Jared at JFK T5, flying commercial. My husband chasing them down to harass them'
* Lasner and Goldstein were accommodated on the next available flight according to JetBlue, and Lasner deleted his Twitter account soon after
* Ivanka and her family are heading away for the holiday, meaning they will be spending 12 straight hours on the plane

Ivanka Trump made it very clear on Thursday that she has no problem staying cool and calm under pressure.

The 35-year-old mother-of-three was travelling with her children on a JetBlue flight when a man began to accost her.

'Your father is ruining the country,' said Dan Goldstein, a lawyer from Brooklyn, who had a child in his arms according to TMZ.

Goldstein then began screaming out: 'Why is she on our flight. She should be flying private.'
