These are the spartan sleeping conditions facing many of the British heroes helping provide security at the Olympics.

More than 2,000 soldiers guarding London venues are forced to share a sweltering, cramped and poorly-lit concrete bunker at a disused shopping centre.

My Comment: They gave up their leave for this type of treatment .... this does not look good.

Half Of All British Servicemen Say They Want To Quit

U.K. Soldiers In Afghanistan

Britain’s ability to sustain campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan was called into question last night as it emerged that almost half of all military personnel are ready to quit.

The first survey to assess attitudes across the Armed Forces reveals unprecedented levels of concern over equipment, morale and pay.

The research was conducted by the Ministry of Defence and involved more than 24,000 military personnel.

It found that the sense of overcommitment means that 47 per cent of soldiers and army officers think regularly of handing in their resignations.

My Comment: As I mentioned last week, when the U.K. government announced the purchase of 2 aircraft carriers for their fleet .... I posted that this was ignoring the basic needs and requirements for the British forces who are fighting a war now, and that moral problems will rise.

Every person in a work situation will always look down on what they are doing if their superiors reward others. This is exactly what the U.K Ministry Of Defense did last week. Todays poll reflects this sentiment exactly.
