Task & Purpose: How Many Troops Did The Pentagon Boot Out Over Botched Drug Tests?

The Department of Defense announced a two-day pause to court-martial and administrative separation proceedings involving the wrongful use of controlled substances, due to worries over the integrity of the lab tests involved — a move that could also cast a pall over past drug-related dismissals, Military Times reports.

* A May 2018 study conducted by the Air Force Drug Testing Laboratory, which oversees drug-related urinalysis testing for the service, found that potential leaks between urine samples during transport could result in cross-contamination of drug-free samples with “hot” urine, tainting the samples of ostensibly innocent airmen.

U.S. Nulcear Personnel To Be Tested For Drug Use

Report Backs Expanded Drug Checks for Nuclear-Weapon Personnel -- Global Security Newswire

The U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration could bolster protection of the nation's nuclear weapons complex by testing for use of steroids and other drugs by employees in sensitive positions, the Energy Department's inspector general recommended in a report released last month (see GSN, Aug. 11).

Earlier this year, several guards at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Tennessee were fired after they tested positive for anabolic steroids.

My Comment: My prediction .... steroids and pain killers will be the two top drugs that will be detected by these tests.
