Hugo Chavez In Hospital 'For Kidney Failure' -- The Telegraph

Hugo Chavez, who has been fighting cancer, was rushed to a military hospital for emergency care following kidney failure, according to reports.

The leftist, staunchly anti-US stalwart Chavez went into the Military Hospital in Caracas on Tuesday morning, the report on the newspaper's website said, citing anonymous sources with knowledge of the case.

"He was in fairly serious overall condition," a source told the Miami-based Spanish-language daily. "When he arrived, he was in quite serious shape and that is why he was brought in for emergency care."

My Comment: His office is strongly denying these reports .... but the bottom line is that he is sick with cancer, and chemotherapy and its complications are a normal course of events for those who have taken this regimen of treatment.

My Comment: I always find it quite a coincidence that extremists or supporters of extremist causes find themselves in positions of influence and power. But in this case it is Hugo Chavez assuming another "revolutionary" cause to satisfy his ego .... at least I hope so.
