The adviser to the Minister of Energy believes that Hungary has taken advantage of the situation. 

Adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Olena Zerkal noted that Ukraine has a powerful lever of influence on Hungary - the Druzhba pipeline. 

As for Hungary, Hungary has taken advantage of the situation, and in fact we and the European Union have given it such an opportunity ... Their appetite for European Union funds is growing daily. And they.ve decided, it is their prime time to demand anything, so as not to destroy European unity, "Zerkal was indignant.

WNU Editor: I am still surprised that Ukraine is permitting Russian oil and natural gas to flow though their territory into Europe. Adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Olena Zerkal is voicing what many Ukrainians want to happen, and that is the shutting down of all of these pipelines.

Interfax-Ukraine: Hungary vetoes Ukraine-NATO Commission meeting in Dec

Hungary has blocked holding of a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Commission in December 2017, the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said.

"Hungary cannot support Ukraine's integration aspirations, so it vetoed the holding of the NATO-Ukraine summit in December," the ministry's press service quoted Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto as saying on Friday evening.

He also noted that Hungary had previously been one of the most active supporters of Ukraine's European aspirations.
