ISIS is regrouping and is once more on the rise in the Middle East, King Abdullah of Jordan has warned.

King Abdullah expressed concerns that the terror group had been re-establishing itself over the past year in south-eastern Syria and western Iraq.

'We have to deal with the reemergence of ISIS,' the king said, adding that it was a 'major concern'.

He added that many foreign fighters in Syria have made their way to Libya.

Terror Bomb Attack Kills 6 Jordanian Security Forces Killed On The Syrian Border

CNN: 6 Jordanian security forces killed in car bomb attack on Syrian border

Amman, Jordan (CNN)At least six members of Jordan's security forces were killed Tuesday in a car bomb attack launched from the Syrian side of the border, according to the Jordanian armed forces.

The car bombing, which Jordan's government described as a "cowardly terrorist attack," killed four border guards, a civil defense worker and a national security official, a military statement said.

King Abdullah II's advisor for military affairs, Gen. Mashal Mohammad Al Zabin, ordered the northern and northeastern border areas with Syria closed, according to a military statement. Any individuals or vehicles in the area without prior coordination will be considered enemy targets by security officials, the military said.

The attack took place at 5:30 a.m. local time (10.30 p.m. Monday ET) in an area known as the Berm, along Jordan's northeast border with Syria.

Rumors have been circulating in recent days that the Yarmouk Martyrs Brigade -- a Syrian rebel group that gained notoriety in March 2013 when it kidnapped, and subsequently released, 21 Filipino UN workers -- is readying to declare its own emirate, or wilayat, in the Syrian city of Daraa, one of the group's strongholds.

The word emirate evokes all kinds of images and assumptions, but the motivations behind Yarmouk's potential push for autonomy may be rooted in very terrestrial and parochial interests. Although the Yarmouk Brigade has been rumored as having ties with the Islamic State group, the militant separatists have repeatedly denied such charges. Compounding the confusion is the fact that these accusations have been levied by Jaish al-Fatah, a Syrian rebel alliance with ties to al-Qaeda. The two factions have fought each other on the field of battle and in the court of law, and their disagreements are largely over matters of jurisprudence, affiliation, and religious interpretation.

WNU Editor: I suspect that most Jordanians do not want to be living through the carnage that is happening right now in Syria and Iraq .... and on those grounds alone the Islamic State will probably have trouble penetrating Jordanian society. But ISIS does have supporters in Jordan just as they do in other Muslim states, and it is a problem that I suspect will be persistent (and dangerous) for Jordan and for of these other countries in the years to come.

NBC: Jordan Moves 'Thousands' of Troops to Iraq Border: Jordanian Sources

AMMAN, Jordan — Jordan has deployed "thousands" of troops at its border with Iraq as it ramps up a campaign against ISIS militants who set a pilot ablaze, two Jordanian government officials told NBC News on Tuesday.

The troops were sent to prevent the infiltration of ISIS fighters into Jordan and as a show of force, according to the sources who spoke on condition of anonymity.
