An F-16 Pilot Took This Epic Selfie While Firing An Air-To-Air Missile -- Business Insider/The Aviationist

This is the ultimate “selfie” taken from the cockpit of an F-16 launching a Sidewinder missile.

Selfies have always been a must among fighter jocks and you can find thousands taken by military pilots in the most unusual flight conditions.

However, selfies taken while launching missiles are much more rare since firing activities involving the launch of an air-to-air missiles don’t take place too often.

Kudos to the Royal Danish Air Force for taking this really cool image.

Polar Bears Confront The Los Angeles-Class Fast Attack Submarine USS Honolulu SSN 718 (Photo)

Three Polar bears approach the starboard bow of the Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Honolulu (SSN 718) while surfaced 280 miles from the North Pole. Sighted by a lookout from the bridge (sail) of the submarine, the bears investigated the boat for almost 2 hours before leaving. Commanded by Cmdr. Charles Harris, USS Honolulu while conducting otherwise classified operations in the Arctic, collected scientific data and water samples for U.S. and Canadian Universities as part of an agreement with the Arctic Submarine Laboratory (ASL) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). USS Honolulu is the 24th Los Angeles-class submarine, and the first original design in her class to visit the North Pole region. This looks like it should be airbrushed onto the side of a really tacky t-shirt, but it's actually quite real! An Air Force F-15E near Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, illuminated by apocalyptic lightning.

Their reasons are many - anger with austerity measures, frustration with incumbent governments and globalization, frustration with policies in other countries - even protests against other protesters.
