Deadly day in Afghanistan
ANDAHAR, Afghanistan — It was a record-setting day for violence in Afghanistan, offering a grim snapshot of a steady spike in suicide killings, roadside bombings, and civilian and military casualties.A Canadian military medic renowned for his perpetually sunny disposition was pronounced dead from a roadside bomb.
A suicide car bomb outside the Indian Embassy killed 41 people and wounded nearly 150 others Monday, ripping through the building’s gates and scattering bodies and pools of blood across some of Kabul’s most protected streets.

My Comment: The same tactics that were used in Iraq will need to be applied in Afghanistan. Unfortunately, I do not see the political will to do that. Expect the violence to peak before winter starts.
