"This is an irregular, undisciplined, chaotic, angry, humiliated Georgian force. They don't listen to orders. They fire on civilians, from what we have just seen."

Aug 14 - A correspondent working for Georgian state television was injured in a shooting incident outside the town of Gori on Thursday.

The reporter was about to go live to air when the shot was fired, slightly injuring her in the left arm. The correspondent and her camerman were forced to run for cover behind a vehicle. The injured reporter was given first aid by a Reuters Televison producer who was nearby.

The incident was a stark reminder of the dangers around the town of Gori where reports have come in over the last few days of looters and armed Ossetian irregulars moving in and out of the area. Russian troops and armour moved in or around at least three Georgian towns on Thursday, ignoring demands by Washington that Moscow respect Georgia's territorial integrity.
