Iran Sentences U.S. Journalist To 8 Years
From The Telegraph:
Her lawyer and family revealed that the 31-year-old reporter had been convicted and sentenced. She had been detained in a notorious Tehran prison since January and went on trial behind closed doors last Monday.
Saberi's lawyer, Abdolsamad Khorramshahi, said: "She has been sentenced to eight years. I will appeal."

My Comment: After all is said and done .... nothing is going to change the situation. The Iranians are going to use her as a prop for their own public consumption .... but she will still stay in jail. The State Department regards talking with Iran more important than one person ..... and for this poor girl .... that means 8 years.
