LAHORE, Pakistan — A Pakistani court ordered the release on Tuesday of the founder of a banned militant group who was placed under house arrest on suspicion of ties to the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, last November.
The man freed, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, is the leader of Jamaat-ud-Dawa, an Islamic charity that fronts for the banned militant group, Lashkar-e-Taiba, which India and the United States have accused of planning and financing the Mumbai attacks that left 163 people dead.
Mr. Saeed was placed under house arrest days after the Mumbai attacks after heavy pressure from American officials, and as a way to defuse tensions between Pakistan and India, nuclear armed rivals.

My Comment: The right thing for Pakistan to do is to extradite this terrorist to India. But they will not .... and the reasons have more to do with their hatred and bigotry of the Indian Government than justice itself.
This is another example of Pakistan talking the talk .... but not walking the walk. Unfortunately, these actions will only put a sour taste in Pakistani - India relations, and it will make U.S. efforts for reconciliation even more impossible.
